This is my favorite watch. They have done an excellent job with this. Size is perfect, finishing is very good and consistent, the acrylic crystal is just the right choice for this vintage inspired diver. Dial, hands and lume are great. Overall a well built quality watch. The bracelet however is the star here. So comfortable and well made, it is better than many of the much more expensive brands out there. I enjoyed it when I received it 6 months ago and had some expectations, they just nailed it with this Neptune.

I have to disagree about the bracelet. Its awful and catches my wrist hairs. Theres a lot of play laterally in the links also.

Beautiful watch. Beautiful strap.Bought this model last month. The crystal does scratch easily, but easy to polish out.

Have this exact Neptune and it's my absolute favorite, can't recommend it enough!!

Love that domed crystal. Really nice piece.

I own this exact model watch and absolutely love it. For me, the super dome acrylic crystal is a feature ... one that comes with trade-offs, obviously, but that makes the watch really special in character and aesthetics. Mine seems to have come really well regulated too, as it's keeping terrific time. Very happy with this one.

This watch is amazing. I love mine and it gets more wear than any of my others.

I love what the dome on this watch and I think it looks good on your (not small) wrist. As far as beinging gentle with watches...I have destroyed too many watches and just know that I need a WR watch with some shock resistance - plexi is easy to polish and replace though. Thank you for another great video Rob :)

Am I the only one who dislikes the little triangle on the end of the hour hand? Aside from that, I love this watch. Plexi domes are tough: see Vostoks for proof. Perfect watch size for the future trend back to "normal" sized watches, that BGW9 blue lume is sexy!

This bracelet is very similar to the one on my new zelos swordfish. Zelos is 42 mm which is the perfect size for my 7 and a half inch wrist oh, so this one is a bit small for my liking. Thank you Rob.

Lorier actually includes a screwdriver for sizing the bracelet. Nice touch!

This is the SARB033's diver cousin IMHO. Not crazy about the crystal, but still want this watch.

Just a really nice watch. Great piece for someone to pick up.

That sterile caseback is a plus for me. Watches with deep stamping on their caseback end up irritating my wrist by the end of the day. My Orient Triton is guilty of that. My Lorier Hydra with sterile back, on the other hand, is very comfortable. Can't wait for their new Chrono to be released.

We haven’t tried it because it’s got too long lug-to-lug 😉 Mini Turtle is excellent, Rado 37 mm Captain Cook «mk I» and mk II. The Rado’s a bit expensive though. The new Islander 38 I guess is the new SKX013-alternative and better fit 👍 This one looks good though. The SKX seems better for small wrists in my opinion with

Guess the smaller-wristed will also need to look at Long Island’s just-released own brand “SKX013-like upgrade” 38mm divers. Decent price for the specs too. Do like that plexiglass on the Lorier though!

Love this watch! Sold my skx007 to get it. 1 small gripe is the hands. In my opinion they could have been proportioned better. Especially the lume, as it is almost same length on hour and minute. When looking at it when dark they hour and minute length look the same, only the arrowhead on the hr hand distinguished it.

I have this exact model the version 2. Amazing amazing watch for the money. FOR ANYONE BITCHING ABOUT PLEXI you don’t know what you’re talking about. I too was apprehensive about it not being sapphire but: 1. This thing just does not smudge. It’s super oleophobic so you don’t have to clean the bloody crystal 10 times a day. 2. Scratches are super hard to see and I don’t baby the watch. Maybe have to use polywatch once every 6 months 3. Polywatch seriously buffs out scratches in literally 20 seconds. This isn’t the shitty mineral crystal that comes on your Seiko.

Mineral is horrible, it scratches easily but you can't polish it. It's the reason I didn't buy a Seiko diver for a decade.

Charles Forbin yes. Seiko Hardlex isn’t polishable. I’m not talking about mineral I’m talking about plexi and acrylic, there’s a difference. Were you agreeing with me or....it’s not clear

These look great, been watching them for a while. But I think I want a Falcon instead.

I have a 6inch wrist and this watch does great, you can tell it’s “bigger” but by no means is it “big” 😂, it’s a sport watch so it looks fine, dress watches though I need a 38mm at the very most, 34-36 preferably

The minute track is done in gilt. Also if you're looking for a date wheel try the hydra.

How is this compared to the San Martin homage of the Oris Divers Sixty five?

What are your thoughts on investing in a micro brand like Lorier versus spending the same amount on a Seiko or something of a brand name? I ask because as watch enthusiasts, we buy watches, enjoy them, then sell them. When you buy a micro brand at full price then a few years down the road try to sell it, it’s either very hard to sell or you take a huge hit. I know this varies from brand to brand, but do you think it’s worth investing in micro brands or spending/investing the same money in a known brand? Hope this makes sense. Thanks for the awesome vids!

I'd probably go with the Falcon! They're coming back in January of 2020! 200M water resistance and a monochromatic style with Rolex Explorer/ Submariner and Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra vibes----Worth waiting in my opinion!

You seem to be very happy when the endlinks articulate and are able to lay flat on the case back because “it’s super comfortable.” I’m gonna go out in a limb and say there is no way you’d be able to do blindly identify what type of endlink is on a watch based solely on how it feels on the wrist.

The end link could've been finished better, but the bracelet does look nice. Unfortunately even with rob's 7 inch wrist 4:00 the gap between the end link and mid link is way wide

I bought this watch and it is lovely. However had to sell it as not only is it small it wears smaller. On my 8 and a bit wrist it looked way too small.

For smaller wrist 48mm lug lenght isn't appropriate. That lenght is what matters the most. It shud be under 44mm or even 42mm like the seiko baby turtle.

asmeet singh, I have a 5.9 inch wrist and this watch does just find, I’ve been looking for a smaller dress watch, 34-36mm case. But this is a sport watch, the lug to lug, 48mm is more than I’d like but by no means does it look “big” on my wrist

48mm lug to lug is quite large in my experience.

Nice watches, but the price is not competitive in Europe by the time you add postage and taxes. Especially as they are delivered by FedEx, which guarantees you will have to pay the import taxes and handling charges.....

The extreme dome height is the only deterrent for me, the way it distorts the dial so heavily makes it looks like a poorly designed toy. I don't mind distortion as it can be fun to play with but for a piece like that it's just not doing it for me. Pretty piece for sure though.

Saw one today on eBay for like double the price :/ totally not worth paying nearly 1K for it haha

@@mrbacchus6127 for me its the dial. I have the one with green dial and golden hands and looks really stunning. But if you want the looks of a diver with a rotating bezel then obviously the hydra or the neptune are the better choice. I guess that's just personal preference. I am sure you find a video with some close ups of the falcon maybe that helps you to decide

At most the glass should have been sapphire.

Not a fan of the plexi. Neither of the price. Otherwise fantastic

Long lugs and something in their design threw off the scale, lays like a flat frying pan on my medium wrist, so annoying for me that I regret the purchase...otherwise it's a stunningly beautiful piece. The dial is a work of art. I'm a retro style diver fan.

There is no reason why this watch should have a Plexiglas it is 2020!! dont agree with you about not banging a watch around. it is a diver ( tool watch) I love the design and very very good looking watch. Put a better crystal and bezel and this is a next classic

I understand the reasoning behind your position, but acrylic crystals have their charms and advantages as well. It's all about choice of trade-offs. As I mentioned in another comment on this video, I own this watch, and I'm super glad that they decided to put an acrylic crystal in it.

Plexiglass is more shatter proof than sapphire and smudges way less. I love that they have chosen to put plexiglass on this watch. It really is nice looking at the distortions, especially underwater. Only negative is it adds a little more height to an already thick watch.

Billeh hey man serious answer is yes! I have few watches with plexi. Mostly dress watches. What I find that I treat watch different when I know it is possible to scratch the crystal. Also sometimes it is impossible to repair deep scratches. So for me, tool watch should be having better crystal. Dress watch might be ok. Why don’t you want to have a watch that will last and you not afraid to damage it.?
