I like this pattern so much..where can I find adult size tutorial.

Started this and boy you are not kidding about making the slip stitch loose...yikes. I will try a larger hook when I get back home from the holidays. Thank you for this gorgeous pattern.

Lol Mine came out ALL messed up. Idk what I did wrong but it was not even at all. I spent weeks on this snd ended up frogging the entire project. I gave up and purchased the written pattern to try and go along with this video. Now it'll be a fall poncho for my GDs instead if a spring one lol. Thank you for the video!

I sure do wish I could slip stitch as fluidly as you do! Could it be that I'm a left-handed crocheter? I've been crocheting for years, but I always have to put a little extra turning of my hook to pull the hook through both loops.

Mine doesn’t look like that well it does but I don’t have a defined slip-stitch row that looks like that. I crochet into both the slip-stitch loops. So is it into only the back loop of the slip-stitch?

@@HeartHookHome Thanks for the reply and that's good to know. I'm making one of these for my 84 year old mom because she's always cold and it's challenging for her to get her arms into sleeves. I'm planning on adding a faux fur yarn trim to the hood cause she really likes those sorts of embellishments-wish me luck, I've never worked with faux fur yarn before.

Any chance there are measurements for sizes beyond the petite teenager? XL, 2X, 3X, 4X?

I’m trying to use up my stash and wanted to make this poncho so badly. But I can’t get the gauge right. I’m using a worsted weight yarn because I have an over abundance of it and made 3 different swatches. When the stitches measure 4” the rows did not. I went all the way down to a 5mm hook and that was the closest I got to the gauge. But the fabric was just too stiff so I knew it wouldn’t drape well. I really don’t want to purchase more yarn. Any ideas? Is there a workaround? Thanks 😊

Hi! First, I just want to make sure that you are struggling to get 13 sts in 4" and not the whole 20 sts of the gauge swatch to equal 4". It's a frequent accidental mistake. If that is not your case, then feel free to email sarah@hearthookhome.com and she can try to help you out with this 😊

@@HeartHookHome no.. I’m measuring 13 stitches by 20 rows. The pattern says that’s supposed to be 4”x4”. The video shows how to measure as well.

Oh man! If you want to substitute hdcs for the dc rows and sc in 3rd loop for slst rows that would work nicely and give a similar effect and similar gauge.

Yep, not liking the slip stitch part at all. I bought the pattern and regret it. I give up on this pattern

I'm sorry I don't know how anyone made this poncho trying to do womens one size fits most I can't add 50 plus 4 on each side and get 56. Frogged at least 10 times even got to row 48 before realizing count was off and no not counting chain 2 as stitch....so want this poncho any help from creator.....to figure out stitches even when you get to row 48 you are no where near 182 stitches way over count. Thanks for any help I can get

Hi Debbie! I am sorry that is giving you fits. While you are putting 4 sts at each end, 1 of those sts "belongs" there (as in you would put that stitch there even if not increasing), so you are only increasing by 3 sts on each end...or 6 sts for the whole row.
