i have similar feelings about ink notes. what comes to mind is encre noir for me. i was really excited about how people were talking about it, saying how it’s so depressing and dark and even the packaging sold me the idea that is it was gonna be so brooding. then i finally smelled it and it just ended up being wet forest and the ink note made it sour? not sure how to describe it. like you were going on a hike or something, and then your pen exploded in your pocket. more on the fresh side and less vampiric

I usually find that in most cherry fragrances, the cherry overwhelmingly overpowers everything else in the mix. I would try this if i can pick up as much as you did in your testing.

Great review! I just sampled this one recently- it definitely smells like cherries and ink to me! Dries down to amber and woods. Was an interesting one for sure. Cherry Ambition by 7 Virtues is also a good one that isn't too medicinal or sweet.

I finally got my nose on a sample of this and I agree....I smell *ink*. I don't know if I smell....but I feel....a bit of leather. This could have been a Bruno Fazzolari /Fzotic offering. Not as dense and dark as his *Lamp Black* but in that neighborhood. I'm still searching for my own perfect *cherry*. (((🐧)))
