I agree. As soon as I heard Euphoria I knew we had Sweden’s entry. Hoped it would win ESC. This time I knew immediately that she would win mello. I think she has a really good chance of winning ESC again

@@aveide - my take on Nordman was “This is going to be absolutely MASSIVE nationally, but I don’t know how well it would go down internationally.” I’m from the same city as Nordman, and I’m familiar with the struggles they’ve had - and it warmed my heart to see them be so happy. I liked the song. It’s very hard to compare it to Tattoo, they’re so fundamentally different, but in the end, I think we’re sending the right song.

Johnny Logan won in 1980 and 1987, and also composed the winning song in 1992, all for Ireland. He’s a bit of a legend. As far as I know, he’s the only one TO DATE to win twice. I have my fingers crossed for Loreen, I think she is more than ready to join him in that achievement! 🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪

@@lr3521 - well, yeah…? Time passes. That’s kind of its thing. The statistics are still valid. Ireland has won the Eurovision Song Contest seven times, which is still a record. Sweden just need one more though… :) Johnny Logan is the only performer to have won more than once, which makes him unique. Ireland is also the only country to have won the competition three years in a row - 1992, 1993 and 1994. Then Norway broke their streak in 1995, and then Ireland won again in 1996. So while the 1980:s was the decade of Johnny Logan, the 1990:s was ABSOLUTELY Irelands. Part of the fun with Eurovision is that you can follow the trends - the fashion, the music genres, what was considered outrageous… So what if something happened forty years ago, if you’ve won the Eurovision, you’re just as valid if it happened in 1982 as if it happened in 2022. It’s still a legacy.

@@lr3521 Well to be fair, it was the 90s that was the biggest for Ireland. Winning three times in a row and then one more time as well. 93, 94, 95, 97. But yeah, they haven't impresed after that.

I just have to share some details I've learned about this performance. First of all, Loreen has NO background singers. All other entries in the Swedish Melodifestivalen had 2-4 singers backstage to help with the power of the vocals. Second of all, it is extremely hard to sing whilst lying down. It takes practice, and you have to allow your abdominal muscles to relax in order to get enough air in your lungs to sing. That would be impossible if you were nervous, which she is not. That alone is incredible! Last but not least, this song would not have been the magic that it is without Loreen. The song alone is not breathtaking, you have to watch the performance and get swept away by Loreen's presence, power, and magic. We've all been waiting for a comeback like this one! I hope she wins 🇸🇪

The best way I can put it when comparing Euphoria to Tattoo is, Euphoria felt more intimate while Tattoo feels more bombastic. They both bring the feels but in different ways. Tattoo is a nice contrast to Euphoria performance wise as well.

This is a fantastic entry, I suspect you could be right in terms of this being a winner. On a side note, how handsome are you? Your English superb!

Johnny Logan has won 3 times (1980, 1987 and 1992), PLUS he also finishing second in 1984. He was the performer in 1980 and 1987 and the composer in 1984, 1987 and 1992, with the 84 and 92 entries performed by Linda Martin. He earned the title of Mr Eurovision and his unprecedented record of 3 wins and 1 second place will stand for a long time.

Calm down, buddy. It's just a song. But then, no, it isn't. It's not just another song. It's one of the best entries I've ever heard in EsC. Maybe as good as her Euphoria, maybe even better if we forget the referencies of her winning song before. Think of this performance as the first time she appears in ESC. Now more mature and now she allows some raspiness to be heard in hear voice. It's great and I love it. Happy you like it too, sweetie. 🥰

And yea this is equally good to Euphoria hands down but two compleley diffrent songs. But you can compare the preformance then i think Tattoo is a stronger number with moor feeling to the lyrics.... This was mighty good...if she don't win the system is broken. That good!!!

It is a good classic song for eurovision. But it would be kinda boring victory… Like what do Tattoo do thats completely new. Sweden needs to send more fun songs. Try Swedish, Try Rock, Try Rap, Try everything.

Sorry Dan just heard this song and personally because she sang so loud I couldn’t understand what she was saying properly in English. I don’t think it’s always a good idea to sing in a loud high voice. So this one is definitely not a winner in my opinion.

I don't like Sweden trying to copy the formula from Euphoria. In itself, Tattoo is great, but when you hear Euphoria, it's evident they try to find a "winning formula". In art, it's all about surprise. No surprise here. If Euphoria belonged to some other country or artist, people would already be crying out about it

For me, I lose the wow factor. I still Loreen is a great singer but for me, Eurovision is about hearing something I didn't hear before.

I think she has a ”specific sound” and a specific look and feel to her performances yes. But I don’t think this is the same as Euphoria. I think that if you WANT to view it as too similar to Euphoria, you will. Because she has such unique vibe. It’s easily recognizable. But it’s not the same. It’s just bombastic with an edgy stage, performance and feel. And a chorus which goes upwards. Which is common for most songs in the world. Lastly, I think this is an evolved version of her artistry. She just keeps getting better and continue to dive deeper in to her performances and music style.

This song is simply a copy of "The winner takes it all" by abba
