The voting system had flaws, as those tween girls voted like crazy for cute boys no matter what dreck they presented on stage. So, she went out against one of those cute boys with a song that was forgotten like 2 seconds later. The TV performance was also messy and very confusing (in fact the stage invader at the first performance of Tattoo would have fit right in and people wouldn't have had a clue something was wrong).

as a swede, my only guess to why this did not qualify to the finals was because... it was just too good and too brilliantly setup in terms of complexity for Melodifestivalen. i talked to a few people who were not a fan of the song and it seems like people couldnt take something out of their comfort zone. personally i adore this song and i definitely think it wouldve won easily if it was supported all the way tldr; this song was too good for Sweden to deal with

Isn´t it strange that you can immediately feel this song is about something important rather than the usual "lalala"-trash at the ESC? The composition is brilliant, Loreen´s mysterious way of singing it simply wonderful, which includes her accent and the kind of unusual performance itself. It would have been a landslide victory, I´m absolutely sure about it. Instead we are forced to define the 2nd best song which, sorry, I haven´t found yet in the whole competition.

Her fail may have something in common with "migrants and refugees" in Sweden. Everybody knows that Loreen is the legend and would give a victory to Sweden again. If Sweden would win the contest again, this country could not care about citizens during the big contest like Eurovision. I think that's a simple explanation why she hasn't won. By the way she's creating higher kind of art. Not everyone has an opportunity to understand it.

One thing about Loreen is that she is a warrior, she proved everyone wrong when she gave it a second try and brought Euphoria to Europe. this is so typical! last year: the ....."song" from ukaine wins bc of the "message". Sweden is always afraid to go outside the box, they stick to what they think is safe. And therefore the best song missed its chance to reach the finals. My opinion her performance and the song itself was a brilliant piece of art and should have won!!!

Not necessary, check out her other singles like "Under ytan" or "I'm in it with you", it's not like they're significantly worse than this, in my opinion they are as good as Statements, especially Under ytan which is a masterpiece.
