LORE of the Divine Beast Dancing Lion
The Dancing Lion, introduced in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, has become an instant icon of Elden Ring and of FromSoft boss design generally. Like most of their bosses, it draws inspiration from real life sources which shed light on its in-game backstory.
In this video, we will learn what this all tells us about Belurat, the Hornsent culture, the nature of the Crucible and what exactly Marika was fighting back against.

Am I the only one who was profoundly disappointed when the sealing tree just teleports you to enir ilim and you realize the dancing lion was not a mandatory boss?

@@donotreadthis26 I have to admit, I did wonder that myself, especially since it places you so close to the same entrance and you could hardly have missed it in the first place.

Mildy disapointing.. You could get there through the main gate (you open it later anyway) but you get teleported to the other side instead. Not too big of a deal for me tho.
