For #16 players, after the Saintly Q, while you’re in Umbral, after killing the gargoyle behind you, make sure to kill the Abbess that appears. She only appears in Umbral-if it bugs out & she doesn’t show, do it again. She drops the other part of the banner (tattered banner) for Sigmunds quest. AND when you get it? Don’t explore further, don’t even go up the elevator towards The Empyrian-or yep, his quest cancels (this game & elevators; going up an elevator seems to be a curse for quests LOL Oh I didn’t even go far, just up the elevator, remembered “oh that sucked last time”-checked, got the banner from the Abbess by the Saintly Q But NOPE, went too far cause of the frickin elevator-Sigmund was no longer at the Abbey or anywhere I’m used to quirky/questionable quests & what fails them-since Demons’ Souls PS3 But this last one I failed-oh it pissed me off. Much as I actually love the game, this really just…I needed a min lol

For 9 you can take the berescu wp and take the lift up one time and turn right and you are at a summon patch and the area

Im going insane… Ive beat the game and I located all but one. I swear Ive watched your guide 12 times and revisited all of these places .. im one short. I swear the game is messing with me. The guide was perfect though

For number 13 you can get it before killing the boss.

I’m playing with randomised loot. Are these randomised too? 2 and 3 are not there for me?

Triple visited each of 1-16 and still missing 1 (didn't enter Empyrean and Castle yet)

I used the loot randomizer for version 1.5 modifiers and it affected the saintly quintessence which to me seems like it should fall under upgrade progression materials..I still have not found one 2 hours in

Im convinced doing Stomunds quest bugs the second quintessence in Abbey of the Hallowed sisters. I've played this game 3 times and the only time i got all 20 was when i had failed the quest. I dont understand why this happens.

So I'm pretty sure number 18 is bugged for me. I distinctly remember going up that ladder and seeing the gold tinged umbral skeleton. But once I killed everything, it was gone. I've gone back and checked every other spot, and I'm stuck at 19 out of 20. Will I be able to get in a second playthrough?

I'm not sure why that's bugged for you, but if you restart new game + 0 or progress to new game + 1, you can get more saintly quintessence and continue upgrading your sanguinarix, without losing any upgrade levels on it.

For number 16 I’m confused how to get there, I’m at the vestige of rosamund and I don’t know which way I need to go. Brilliant guide helped so much!!!

Number 16 starts at a spot that you are forced to go through to progress the game. So if you just explore and work your way through the area, you'll eventually end up there. If you've already beaten the game and went back to get these, you can start at number 15 and once you get to 14:17, just take a left instead of going into umbral over the bridge. That should take you there.

Does anyone get the message to interact with the Quintessence statue for 14? it tells me to interact and then gives me the message "..." I can't rip it out or anything. am i just locked out?

The “…” is for the radiant armor set quest. I’m sure you’re in umbral form but make sure you’re at the entity you pull it out of and not the statue in front… Unless it’s still glowing gold it’s safe to say you got it already!

Wow that #7 was BS. Still it was sitting on the ground so I must have found it but never collected it. Also Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters is the worst thing EVER in a souls game besides MAYBE Frigid Outskirts in DS2. Neat I've gone through all of them and I still seem to be missing 2...

For #4 I died before I was able to pick it up now it’s gone

Hmmm, I’m not sure. These are all of them, so maybe your game bugged out? The good news is that if you start a new run, even on new game +0 (the one where it doesn’t get any harder) you can get more of these to upgrade your sanguinarix and still get the achievement

@@Dr.Caligari-scabinet unfortunately the only fix right now is going into a NG+. At least you can get the missing one in the tutorial área.

I've gotten all of these and I'm still 2 short of last upgrade, is the game just fucking broken or am I somehow missing something.

#4 where the heck is that vestige :X :X I run up and down the map ? ehmmm I do miss a ladder just before the bridge where ruiner was... let me guess :P Oh and thanks....got me 2 upgrades done *O*

The furst one at the abbey is very misleading. U can't get to it without getting the bitch with the yellow beam first
