Very very fucking impressive stuff. I use the enhanced hatchets sometimes on the bosses depending on their moveset

Minor thing but might save time/effort, if you unequip the catalyst it's the same as equipping the throwing hand. Saves on some menuing.

So they increased the visceral attack. Finally it will be actually worth it

You unlock them by playing each ending or some questlines

damn lump hammer doing more dmg than a +7 weapon :D

that's the great skill! Most of all I like not speed but skill! It is amazing!

I spent an hour in character creation and you just hash the entire game out in the same time plus half

They do increase the range with an eyeball upgrade.

On the last part where you are getting beamed by holy if you instead of go kill her wait on the stairs for her second attack then run across the thing she won't have time to get a beam out before you get across. Also the castle skip doesn't require the railing. Can make the jump every time by running up to the right of the first crystal and run jump left up onto it. Just requires proper timing and placement but doable 100% rate once you have it.

Figured it out. I had to go through the Mines, then through Upper Calrath.

24:18 would it not be better to kill the adds to make the fight more consistent? the amount of time you lost to them would probably be about the same if you just killed them

what did you throw it?poison?

How is the Lord class allowed for any%. It requires you to beat the game 1 before. Is the Ashley Armor allowed in Re4 any% runs?

There are categories that allow Armor Ashley. Though I think the most popular ones you'll see runs for prevent its use.

We haven't made the final decision on the allowed classes yet. Even the unlockable classes start at a relatively low level, and still need to grab the vast majority of the spells we use throughout the run. Besides, we do most of the run naked now anyways LOL

no. the only skip that's been patched since this run happened is the final castle bramis skip, but fortunately we found another way to do it.

Doesn't the Umbral timer reset after killing Pieta, making the section leading up to her actually matter since it isn't contributing towards the reaper spawning, or am I missing or something?

I think it's a visual bug. Seen it a few times across various parts of the game. I don't think anything resets the umbral timer except totems, fast traveling, resting, and dying.

Yep, that was visual. If you notice when he is talking about being a quarter of the way through it hops back up to normal.

Been at brother manse area trying to do the 31 minute skip 😂 I can't get to the fucking top no matter how much I roll😢 😢😢😢😢 I get stuck in the bottom left corner where there's boxes and you can't get out no matter how much rolling or jumping you have to let the red reaper kill you sadly

throwing weapons are busted... holy fuck this hammer is doing more dmg than my 2h sword

yeah, I think it's due to not having to upgrade them, they start with much higher base values and solid scaling.

Pieta is definitely a challenging boss, but you can do it!

Keep at it. You can do it. You don't have to beat her like more experienced players do with Parry's and viscerals. Best thing you can do is go in and Do Not Attack her. Focus on your dodging. She will come at you with 2 swipes on the first attack. Keep dodging those and get your timing down. Don't dodge away from her just to the side and stay close. After her first attack she will do the same but sometimes twice in a row or a third attack that slams the ground. Dodge those too. Don't attack. Keep dodging until you are doing without damage. Then it is your turn. Dodge, dodge. Then charge heavy her. Just give her a slight delay to ensure she isn't doing the second ones and if she is punish her after those. Second phase same thing only the timing of her swipes are a little bit different. You can do it though. Trust me on the not attacking practice. It's worth it.

they did patch the earlier version of it, but there's a new way to do it in the LoTF speedrun discord.

Red reaper is now imnune to fall dmg..

If you roll through instead of run through the abyss won't hit you

Can’t really count when you’re not even using a starter class…you get the lord after beating the game

Time will tell. We're still deciding on whether to allow unlockable classes for NG runs. It's not like they start off at level 100 with +10 weapons and all the spells.

NEED EASY MODE! A setting that knocks down all damage received to about 1/3 of normal. And all damage done to enemies tripled per hit!

None of these types of games have a easy or hard mode that way every player experiences the same quality and can't cry

@@danielcrowe3451 That's precisely the problem. Not EVERY player is the same. Not everyone has the skills needed, the ability to get good enough or the same learning abilities. Some people have learning disabilities and will never be able to get good enough no matter how many hours they try. So now the creators are discriminating against those with disabilities. This can become legal issues if people with disabilities decide to push the matter in court! The devs are preventing people with disabilities who want to play their game, from doing so. By refusing to have options to adjust difficulty.
