It is so different from MELODRAMA. So "sunny", so bright, so happy, so feel-good. MELODRAMA instead was "dark", her voice rough and scratchy, liked that. But after hearing Solar Power again and again, I start to really love some of the tracks, as "Solar Power", "Mood Ring" and "Oceanic Feeling". What I still really dislike, is that there is not CD available by intent. I am "old school" and an audiophile, I want perfect sound quality on CD and some jewel case to put into my shelf.

I love to put this album after a day of surfing... I know this didn't done the same numbers as her past works but that's because it only can be felt by beach people you know... Those who know the value of the sea... To me is her best work, I feel peace listening this album by the ocean... Yesterday I surfed a wave while singing "do your best to trust all the rays of light". I kinda feel more than notes or voices in this.. i feel some energy, some hope, something that only sensitive person be able to feel and it's so warm and wonderful to feel and share that

I just love this! The positive energy is so beautiful, I feel that it’s that kind of energy that makes working through a year worth it, now that you know summer has begun. Thank you for this, I listen to it everyday and love it everyday. I mean, who can’t picture themselves running home from the last day of school/work with this playing in the background?

I have never heard this but I like it! I love music that has a more purer way of being conveyed. Not like current mainstream "music"

It's so crazy watching Lorde's evolution. Pure Heroine was the exact opposite of this, so cynical and jaded. Melodrama acknowledged love was a powerful feeling and not stupid to write about, and was just enveloped in the sadness of her breakup. Now, she's embraced the simple pleasures of life, after visiting Antarctica where it's so difficult to even survive. This song is so wonderfully happy. I love you Lorde

As an old curmudgeon approaching sixty it is astonishing to watch Lorde effortlessly channel the"Age of Aquarius" for a modern audience. This is deceptively brilliant music that absolutely shimmers. Forget all of the tears that you've cried indeed.

People should be like a river, always changing form, I'm glad for Lorde.

The real clue for this album is in the chorus “Forget all of the tears that you’ve cried It’s over (over, over, over) It’s a new state of mind Are you coming, my baby?” We are done with the sadness and the melancholic songs. This is the new her, this is her new world. Goodbye melodrama, hello solar power. ☀️

As much as locals hated this album, imo this is her best album

The first time I heard this was when I was working at a ski shop A bit out of place for the song, but it always helped make the days go by even better. Now whenever I hear it, I can only think of how much fun I had on the mountains

She never cared about trends since the beginning. she just does her own thing. she never fails to shock us in the best way possible. she's Lorde.
