Last year I was a freshman (I think cause im from Ireland and the school system is different here) but I didn’t really do too much and what I did do was because my sister was a senior (and a popular one) so I got to go to parties she would have and I would hang out and get shitfaced drunk with all of them lol it only happened like three times sadly but this year my sister is gone to college so I don’t get to go out with her as much luckily my friends in my year have started having parties so I’ve only been to like three or four this year but we are only like three months in so hopefully there’s some more and I’ve perks of being a wallflower typa life(minus all the bad shit)

My perspective of this song is about growing up and realising that life as a grown up is not how you thought it would be like. And as you grow up you start to feel so fking lonely like its as if you feel you have no one. You miss the old memories of being a kid and how life easy was and innocent and what pure souls we had... I also see this song about missing the times with a best friend for over 7 years but she left me for another person " Your the only friend i need, share beds like little kids, we'll laugh until our ribs get tough, but that will never be enough" meaning we'll do many fun things together but it'll never be enough for her. Honestly, thats just how I genuinely feel of when I listen to this song a lot of emotions.

Ya know I was with you buddy but I can say this I don’t know how old you are but me I just turned 20. Swear to ya December 7th 2023. I used to never wanna grow up I used to cry at the thought of being an adult losing my youth I didn’t even think adults dreamed in color that’s how miserable I thought it was!!! I joined a frat and started my sophomore year of college. These brothers in my frat I’d do anything for them they’re my perks of being wallflower cast. They’re friends that you’d make up in a coming of age movie. I mean when I’m at school and even when I’m at my lowest I wake up to my best friend across the room from me. You can have the friends that you had when you were younger and they can be even better. I see the world in brighter colors than I ever have. This song is my right now adults can have fun enjoy the now

i think this movie is the definition of my life people will look at me every single time like i'm a burden to them or i'm a weirdo with no social life, i already accept the fact that no one will ever pick me in a room full of people but everytime that i'm being left out or no one is choosing me it tears me apart to the point that i have to run to the bathroom and cry for like 20 mins i don't care if people will see me so sensitive or taking everything seriously but again people will never understand how i really feel it always hits different. I am sick of this life i never wanted this in the first place i just want to disappear and i'm so tired of trying to live or survive everyday i don't want to deal with this in my whole life i want this to end.

i personally love the movie but since the book is more accessible to me, the book is my comfort book. I struggle with seasonal depression and I read the book every winter. There's something about Charlie that I relate to so much, I don't even know what it is because I haven't been through most of what he did but just his way of thinking, feeling and reacting to things. Reading the book and having someone to relate to and cry with makes me feel less alone. I can live through the tough times with the book. So i guess when people say it's their comfort movie it's probably something similar. Just letting yourself feel it.

There’s something about the authenticity of this movie that makes it so unique and beautiful.
