React next to Her MELODRAMA album i swear thats the album of the Century. Lorde and Jack Antonoff did a MASTERPIECE 💙
That was indeed a Weeknd reference, according to genius lyrics. She has stated that he is a personal inspiration. He has covered her " royals " song.
Ribs and buzzcut season are TIMELESS. I remember seeing and meeting Lorde at one of her first NYC concerts and she was amazing.
This album is my coming of age album. Its the album i raised myself on
If you wanna know another fun fact about the album, very first and last lines of the album connect with each other. In Tennis Courts, she says "Don't you think it's boring how people talk?" Then in A World Alone, she says "When people are talking, let them talk."
Lords is in my top 10 Artists. I LOVE her. Wish this was Melodrama though. I love that Album way more.

God, I have such intense nostalgic ties to Lorde’s music (especially Melodrama). Her albums will forever embody my teenhood.
Lorde was 16 and on a small budget when making Pure Heroine. Released in 2013, it influenced and changed pop music with it's subject matter, tone, sparse electro beats and minimalism.

The fact you was so enthusiastic with this record has got me so hype for your Melodrama reaction. Her next one takes everything (her mature songwriting, conceptualizing, epic production, infectious melodies, her fragile vocals and lush harmonies, quality control) to whole other level. Lorde went from already being one of the most promising new artists around to being the voice of a generation after it dropped. Out of the 1000 of albums I've heard, I truly see no flaws with that record. It's also pretty incredible that across two albums, every single track is like a 4/5 at least. I feel like she couldn't make an average song to save her life!
