I prefer what some people call "bad" dancing as long as it's genuine, natural and inspired instead of choreographed emotionless dances. Although I've seen choreographed dances that were as passionate as Lorde's so I guess it can be good either way.

I can't stop listening to Melodrama and the best thing is that I know I won't get bored of it unlike almost every other songs I love and keep on repeat. Melodrama is more than I hoped. Not that I was really worried but I felt like nothing could come as close as PH but seriously i think Melodrama is on the same level! They're two quiet different records yet I feel like they're very similar. It's just Lorde and I love it!!

The way Lorde dances, that's the greatest way one can dance. It's dancing in its purest form. She's vibing to the music. Letting the music energy flow through her. There's no specific choreographed dance moves involved. It's just her and music. And that's so beautiful!

there's just so much raw emotion in her voice when she sings it brings me to tears every time I listen to this album

i know her "thing" is singing super low and being good at it (and she is) but i think she should high more bc she's really good at that too

Ugh her vocals and dance moves were so good!! She sounds so good live!!

tbh Lorde did herself a real favor by choosing to sing in a style really replicable by her normal speaking voice. makes her live performances sound close to the recording, but with the obvious quality drop that comes with live performance

The moment where she sung with the choir literally gave me chills

Irk? It's nothing like Pure Heroin or Love Club (which were amazing), but still 100% Lorde genius. It's like listening to Pink Floyd. Great songs that compliment each other to make a masterpiece album and each one so very different and psychedelic. Lorde, That Poppy, and Jasmine Thompson are the only pop singers I give any artistic credit these days.

When she's performing live she seems like she is such an adorable mix of being completely awkward and so perfectly energetic at the same time. I love it.

the thing I love the most about lorde is how she writes her songs for her based on things that have happened to her that affected her its really noticeable in pure heroine in 400 lux she says "you buy me orange juice" that makes no sense unless your Lorde and you were there and I think that's so cool
