this song is SO good live bruh, she gets so into it and the crowd is always so loud. i've seen her sing it live a few times now, and each time she gets better !!!

Green Light is just like the traffic sign, wherein usually, there's red and green. You can see red in parts of the music video when Lorde was like laying down in the red light where the car stopped and didn't move. We could take that metaphor wherein the green light in traffic means go and be able to move and go past, you can see that the car was moving during the green light, and during red light the car stops. We could compare that to Lorde's life experience especially with her relationship/s.

If you havent already heard it, would you please react to "Come to Mama" by Lady Gaga? I really think that you're gonna love what she says in it. I always thought that the "green light" she's talking about is a physical sign. Like, she feels it's time, but she wants a sign from the universe so she can fully let go.

Honestly you could make the argument that Green Light is the “worst” song on melodrama, given that the album is a 10/10
