I'd love for them to be in an offshoot series where they solve crimes using spiritualism. Miss Murchison the medium and Miss Climpson actually doing the foot work and research. "In Good Spirits!" could be the name.

I just love the use of such good English language...a bygone day! Today's generation would need a dictionary to lòok up what many of the words used mean ! 😢so sad

Petherbridge is terrific; he portrays all of Wimsey's intelligence and delicacy. For people who haven't read the books, Wimsey was injured in WWI and was ill for many months afterward. His bouts of illness aren't referred to in the film versions but are mentioned occasionally in the books. The music he plays in the third episode is Beethoven, the 2nd movement of the Pathetique Sonata.

Terrific fun - but don't try the arsenic trick! Sayers pretty much made that up for the plot - you can only build slight resistance at great danger to your health, not nearly enough to withstand a fatal dose.

What was that look of prue hate & disdain she gave him in the end? Whatda witch she was to him. I woulda loved him intensely after freeing me from the hanging rope. We'll at least for a night anyways .

Toward the end, Lord Wimsey plays a beautiful tune on the piano, the title of which escapes me. Would really appreciate knowing what it is, if anyone knows.

Edward tries but he is just too effeminate, sad and wimpy. Ian Carmichael was an energetic & charming Lord Peter.

Good show!! But Ian Carmichael is a much better Wimsey! To me he is better looking and more whimsical. This Bunter is too handsome.
