Yuri is truly a gifted elite gymnast whose specialty is rings. Normally his competition rings routines are about 40 sec. in duration. However, in this video, he's using a pulley system that connects to his waist-called a Dream Machine. This pulley suspension system literally supports half his weight. This allows him to perform all his static strength moves in sequence repeatedly for a few minutes. Wish I had one of these 50 years ago.

Most of the people watching in the audience have no idea how hard these moves actually are. There is almost no reaction to his iron cross just because he looks calm. The straddle planche is 3 tiers of difficulty easier than the iron cross and he gets tons of applause for it. It's kinda sad how underestimated bodyweight fitness is taken for.

straddle planche is difficulty level (B,C) while iron cross is level B , so definitely straddle planche is harder.

I'm a big fan of Yuri as an athlete but this was straight-up unethical, to do this routine assisted when nearly no one in the audience would have been able to appreciate this. Some people are saying, oh he used the Dream Machine because no way could he have stretched out his routine for long enough for the presentation. Yeah no kidding. That's what assistance does; it makes it easier and therefore you're able to do things you wouldn't ordinarily be able to do. Maybe next time he can do his routine wearing an exoskeleton, or as a CGI hologram. If the audience was there just to gawk at an old dude's muscles in downlighting Yuri should have just done a bodybuilding routine. And if he needed more energy to carry him longer on the rings than usual he should just have snorted a bigger bump than usual beforehand.
