I really liked this. Your lyrics inspired me. As a Christian, I was rejected a lot for being Goth and this spoke to me. I don't know about you, but I reject organized religions. I gave my heart and soul to Jesus and He is all I need. This song spoke to me like it was a rebellion letter straight to Satan and all he tries to do to make me feel like I am unloved or not worthy. He can try every dark spell or curse he wants, but, like you wrote, I'm going to do it anyway, and he can't stop me. With the freedom I have found in Christ, I will never be Satan's voodoo doll. Thank you for this. BTW, I bought the album after hearing this song, so thanks for that too :)

Klasse, das Video lässt die Lyrics erst so richtig zur Geltung kommen. Die Interpretationen der Nadelstiche finde ich sehr gelungen. Die Wunden sind abwechslungsreich, von Einstichen über Schlag-Spuren / blaue Flecken bis hin zu Blindheit und sichtbarem Seelenleid. Sie werden nicht unnötig "blutig" dargestellt, sondern relativ realistisch, ohne dabei den künstlerischen Effekt in Frage zu stellen. Ein Zusammenspiel aus Text/Musik und visuellem Werk, das nur zusammen zu einer solch gelungen Symbiose gesteigert werden kann!

This is an anthem for everyone breaking out of a religious family. The hypocrites don't realize their "praying for us" is an attempt at a controlling curse. It's hard to break away, but worth the effort.

I think it really fits a lot of things, an abusive relationship, depression and anxiety, even more existential things. That's why this song is just so damn good, you connect and feel it.

A song with so much meaning behind it was one of the first songs on thronstar I loved and still do
