I have struggled with depression also. I found that I was able to recognize the first steps down that dangerous road and in those cases I found something else to focus on, something more upbeat. I don't know if it will work for you, but if you focus on HOW you think, recognize the first steps along the dangerous path and step away, it may help you. An excellent way to step away from that path is to listen to songs like this masterpiece. Best wishes. :)

For the first time heard this song a day after the release of this video. Instantly felt a deep connection to it not knowing why. A month later, my dad passed away unexpectedly and two weeks after him, my grandma also passed away.
