_______________________
Lord Jamar got into a debate with DJ Vlad about everyone having an equal chance to be rich and how the line keeps getting moved further out for minorities. He also questioned Willie D's comments about someone flipping $10,000 into $1 million, adding that they won't be able to live if they only have that $10,000. To hear more of what Lord Jamar had to say on the situation, hit the above clip.

PaiNExoTiC I don't think that's it though. If all you have is $10,000, that needs to go in savings. Most people don't have money in their account for a deductible if they get in a car accident or to buy new tires when they need. More importantly, that 10,000 can be used for job security in case you get fired or laid off. Unemployment ain't shit for pay.

Hey Moody Hyadd I agree with Vlad we as human beings can accomplish anything in this world if we just put our minds to it. remember the Universe brings to you whatever you attract let's take me for example I left Arizona and came to New York City to follow my dreams of becoming a MILLIONAIRE through music and right now as I speak this into existence on March 24 I will be competing for million-dollar record deal. Here in Jamaica Queens New York. So you can put yourself in the position to become a Millionaire. But to many people make up so many excuses of why they can't do something just get off your lazy ass and go out there and start making shit happen for yourself. Stop listening to Lord Jamar and go out there and become something great.

Just because it work out for him doesn't mean it's going to work for other people. Plus many businesses don't make millions of dollars or hit it big. Glad Lord Jamar put his ass in check.

Vlad is a little out of touch. Once you reach a certain level of success, education, wealth, etc...you start to oversimplify how hard it was to get there. Even if it was easy for you, the average person will have to fight tooth and nail for every thing in this world. That’s just how it is.

I was a millionaire at 22 years old and have been doing business, stocks, real estate from a young age. Vlad clearly doesn't know what he's talking about. It's pretty obvious he's generated some good income from his VladTV shit and then invested into a stock market bubble that's generated him some interest/passive income for the first time and he feels like it's pretty easy. When the current stock market bubble pops and we get a downturn he'll realize it's not as simple as dumping your earnings into Google stock. People that try to flip their money 7x in a row are known as suckers in a casino. Also, the types of investments available for flipping 10-20, 20-40, and 40-80 stop working somewhere around the mid range a lot of the time and you have to find another hustle. This video exposes Vlad as financially inexperienced IMO.

I concur as someone who spent years in finance .. the first person to respond to you is also clearly inexperienced. I am all for investments but there are NO GUARANTEES to become a millionaire. Long term is best for that goal and I say enjoy your retirement. However, I assume this is about flipping money to enjoy in your prime. Your comment was the best.

PaiNExoTiC I didn't read all of your reply but my point wasn't about the stock market being a bad investment in general, it was about vlads oversimplification of just being able to flip your money into millions by investing it into the stock market. If you don't know what you're doing in the stock market then you can't expect to outperform an index fund, and a person isn't going to just flip $10k into a million there. My post had nothing to do with whether or not stocks long term trajectory is up.

Jamar is more correct. Vlad is not taking into account how capitalism has created an almost 'permanent underclass' of people with slim to no chance financial upliftment because systematic factors hold opportunities for a select few and rarely to never are they shared. And this is beyond race, this system is held away from working lower-class whites so triple that if you are Black or of indigenously original color. Yes there are BETTER opportunities for the general public with online tools, etc. But believe it or not, many people cannot even afford a cellphone or laptop so where do they start? Lord Jamar > Vlad this round.

I believe the truth lies between VLAD's POV and Lord Jamar's. The difference being, for a black person, how well they outmaneuver the obstacles. We may all be equal in the eyes of God, but we're not all equal in ability. Some people are just better built for making money'; playing ball; singing; getting women; being a surgeons; mathematics .. etc. etc. etc. It doesn't mean racism isn't real, but racism isn't an insurmountable, impenetrable wall that prevents any and everyone it's intended for from succeeding. It is there to deter all, but some people will always size up the obstacles, and figure a way around them. You had black people who became millionaires during the worst of times for black people in this country. But, you can't point to those people and say no black people should have excuses. The issue isn't that some people can't surmount the obstacles, but that the obstacles were created to begin with.

Pawg Lover Exceptions to the rule only prove the rule. There are over 40 million Black people in America and around 14 million Black families. Less than 400,000 Black families are worth 1 million dollars when all of their assets are added up while in white America there are about 80 million families and 13.5 million white families are worth at least 1 million dollars when all of their assets are added up. When you say the things you’ve said all it proves is that you don’t know the data and how poor Black people really are because of white supremacy racism purposely targeting Black people.

Black people with defeatist mentalities come a dime a dozen. I don't have the interest in debating you. All I know is, everything you think can't be done, there is someone black out there doing. Me loving white women doesn't change the reality of what I've said. If you want it, and you're capable, or have the capacity to develop the ability necessary, and you're willing to be patient and put in the work, even black people in this society can come up in this society. Black Enterprise Magazine is about those very people, and that publication has existed for probably longer than you've been alive. Trying to discredit what I've said, based on preferences in women, is a weak attempt at trying to invalidate a POV without tackling it on headon.

  • @searching4pawgs495

    @searching4pawgs495

    6 жыл бұрын

The reality is, racism isn't the only factor holding black people back. Most of us have been conditioned to believe we can't be successful, and the vast majority of us just accept that as fact. Before my business really took off, there were a lot of naysayers - even some in my own family who had been successful themselves - but I acquired the knowledge necessary, and I was patient. It took me six years before I made a single dollar in my business, but once I 'got it', I got it. How many people are willing to stick to anything long enough know whether they really have what it takes. Black people are too psychologically beaten, in most cases, to combat racism. This is why we have no legit community. We don't even think it's worth it, so we put all of our support behind Democrats to carry us to nowhere, like we always have. Satisfied with crumbs. The mind can liberate you or imprison you. For every black person saying this or that can't be done, there are black people out there doing it. The conditioning by our society doesn't work on all. Just like many of our women wear hair weaves - there is and always have been those who do not, because that brainwashing didn't affect them the same. Well, it's the same with being successful. All of us don't believe the propaganda.

Dante Fiero Living off 1k a month is just not realistic. Rent/mortgage alone for the average person is more than half of that.

Sam707BFBC its not about the 10k really as much as it is about what are you going to do with the 10k? Do you know how to invest it to make passive income so the money works for you

Dante Fiero Well if you’re Black in America what you lack is wealth not “discipline.” For example, the average Black female college graduate is $11,000 in debt. The median Black family wealth when taking out depreciating assets is less than $2000. In 2016 Black men were 1/5 (20%) unemployed at some point. In 2014 Milwaukee had a unemployment rate for Black men of 54%. Once again Black people’s problem isn’t a “lack of discipline” but a lack of resources and a lack of wealth.

funDzAmEntal No, it takes wealth. All the data shows it takes money to make money and if you’re Black you don’t have wealth in America.

The key is learning how to invest your money and getting around people who are trying to go where you are trying to go. The public library got internet to learn or books to read about stock finance depends on how bad someone want it
