I live in Seattle, 32 years old - discovered Lord Huron through this very video 5-6 years ago. I sat through the entire video on the first sitting. Since then, I’ve listened to this album and this particular video at least 1,000 times on my trips to go hiking in Nevada, Utah, and Arizona. I can’t explain it but when you’re on the road in the desert, or really anywhere with open landscape, this music does something special that no other music can do. I can’t put my finger on it. Thank you to KEXP, DJ EL Toro (for forcing them to play so many songs :)), and of course Lord Huron. I don’t know if Lord Huron realizes how special this music is to some people. It’s unique, it’s so incredibly underrated, and I feel very lucky to have discovered it. This album specifically allows me to escape the corporate tech world I work in and whatever personal struggles I’m facing. It’s a time machine for me. 🙏

Lord Huron is a very well put together group with a great sound while live.

Man I love when a drummer thinks outside the box.

The way each musician seems to be feeling their part.. So in sync with each other it's beautiful..the individuality and unity of the instruments are so well adjusted! I'm totally saturated with love for this group! And I am of older generation.😊

I love this band!! I recently discovered them. I love Ben's voice.... its so beautiful, soothing, and relaxing.....

They truely are wonderful masters of sound.

That drummer knows that he's an entertainer (in addition to be really good at his craft).

Even though I mostly listen to rap and metal, I'm so glad that I can find music like this to enjoy.

I don't know if it's the case here, but sometimes artists use one microphone for their plain voice and the other for effects.

Exactly right, although it seems like the mic on his left has a delay/echo on it too. See 14:48 for the effect on the mic on the right. Singing into both simultaneously blends the two effects.

Seems like he uses the left for doing his own backing vocals. Prolly has a load of reverb on that channel, is my guess. No one uses as much verb as Lord Huron.

Its their folky style that they have, plus they only have 1 studio album to play from. Plus After seeing them live at the Gorge with Dave Matthews this performance is really lacking in comparison, they have a better sound when on an open stage

Roberto Sanchez i kind of agree, and this is coming from a die hard LH fan for 5 years. But to be fair, I can't think of a band that is so diverse that they dont have songs that sound the same as another.
