i have a rak helium miner which uses the lora antenna. is it possible to increase the range using the E32 component. Can you use the E32 in any device that uses a lora antenna?

agreed. thinking about Meshtastic but seems like LoraWAN allows so much more growth for proojects and ideas using MQTT .

what kind of antenna did you use to obtain the 8 km range? and where did you place the receiving antenna?

Range depends mostly on height and quality of receiving side ie the gateway. I got 40km+ on our public LoRaWAN network. That is on 100mW 3dBi omni antenna on a good quality outdoor gateway on a tower at 868Mhz. Gateway (with its antenna) should be 15m or higher above ground. Sensor can be small sensor with internal 1dBi antenna, but should be 1m or higher above ground. With this setup you should get 15km+ LoS (Line of Sight).

I need to transmit a 300 kb data from ground station to a model satellite and transmit that same data to another station with different frequency. I was using Xbee for only send the data to model satellite but now that i had to send it to another station i was wondering if i can do that with Lora. There are different infos about it's bitrate but is 300 kb data large for Lora ? Also i have a Madunio Lora Radio and it has ATMega 328p microcontroller in it they say it's bitrate is 300 kbps but it's range is 2km. I wonder is there some other Lora modules with higher bitrate and higher range?

so the line of sight thing is really important? i wanted to try a project that would output data in a basement car park and recieve the signal 4 stories up? is this posible? or does there need to be a direct line of sight?

Hello. Lora Ra 01 module says 410-525 mhz name band. However, when I researched, the ISM band limitation in Turkey was 868 Mhz. Can we still run the RA01 module at this frequency? What kind of problems will we encounter if we run it? Have you experienced it? Thanks

yes, but the sample rate may be slow. If you can encode your data in a message of a small size it can be sent over LoRa

Would it be possible to make a Gateway with a Lora Node Module and a Raspberry Pi? I don't see why not, since the Raspberry Pi has a dedicated Ethernet chip

What is this Lora used for? Mining helium?
