So how is the ER-301 set up? Is this a sample playback with modulation sort of patch or is there some synthesis going on in the ER-301 also?

Sample slice chains and modulation. It’s essentially the same as my 84hp case. If you check my videos there’s a video with a more broad scope of how my system works, and then another that focuses a bit more on the ER-301

I dream of getting the ER-301 but it's out of stock by now. Is it possible to achieve the same sounds with the Nerdseq and the Assimil8or? I am wondering if I should buy the Rossum instead of the 301.

Hmmm. It'd be difficult with assimili8r, but I'd be afraid to say it's impossible. It'd be easier with several Tiptop Audio One modules, or a few distings. You'd also need some mixers. Honestly, ER-301 is mostly about HP with the way I use it. There are definitely ways to do something similar with other modules. But assimil8or is difficult when It comes to sample chains/slices.

Bb is tricky (unless it’s been updated since I last used it) because you can’t select the particular sample slice via cv.

some capitalist dude sells a ER 301 for 2k euros.. haha.. I truly hope this module gets more available at some point or cloned by behringer :D just kidding.. btw congrats to 666 followers!
