Loop Bungee Retainers

Спорт

Carrying on with the "Lockdown Equipment Series", here is my preferred way to secure sidemount loop bungees to the harness.
I like to keep the parts used simple as well as being low profile so as not to interfere with my cylinder first stages.
I shot and narrated the video in real time to try and show that it is fairly quick and simple - so no reason not to tidy up your equipment or add some colour these days :-)

what do you think of using the two big o-rings that come with the xdeep set instead of the tri glider? this would give flexibility when switching between wetsuit and drysuit in terms of adjusting?

Hi, so yes, the sliding retainer for the loop bungee is very sensible for that. I would avoid rubber rings as they grip the webbing and bungee - better instead to use a large loop made of thin bungee so it does not impact the main loop bungee in any way. What I also use (now) is a larger piece of cord attached the tri glide - and actually I prefer now to use a thin bungee instead of cord - this way it lets the bungee take a better route and also easier to catch and the exact placement of the tri glide becomes less crucial. Lastly, if you try to find a good quality, thick bungee, you can make them quite long and have them standing forward from your body further and makes even easier to locate.

May I ask where you got the tri glider that has lower center section. Webbing looked really tidy when done

What size bungee do you use to hold the ranks?

Hi, I'm a fan of 8mm for my steel tanks, but a good 6mm is generally fine.

With thick undersuit and dry gloves, it's hard to make with bungee, not to twist it or even catch it. Want to try round rubber ring, stock of xdeep, cause it can slide down by strap, which is easily catch, or metal stopper with one hall on outer side, saw it on Ali
