Loonbedrijf JB ter Steege hakselt & kuilt de laatste mais van 2019 in bij Alex the Dutch Dairyfarmer

Loonbedrijf JB ter Steege (Enter) bezig met het hakselen en inkuilen van hun laatste mais voor 2019, dit werd gedaan bij boer en KZreadr Alex the Dutch Dairyfarmer.
Toen we 's ochtends bij Alex aankwamen zat net al zijn eigen mais in de kuil en vertrok de hakselploeg naar een perceel mais dat hij bijgekocht had, zelf wilde hij daar ook even gaan kijken en filmen dus we volgden hem naar het veld.
Het hakselen wordt gedaan met een Claas Jaguar 960 die voorzien is van een 10 rijige Claas Orbis 750, naast de hakselaar rijden een Fendt 939 Vario en Fendt 936 Vario met beide een Schuitemaker Siwa 370 drie assige silagewagen.
Het kuilwerk wordt gedaan met een Volvo L90E shovel die bij de laatste paar vrachten de beide Fendt trekkers ook de kuil op duwt of sleept, het duwen werd hier overigens voor de eerste keer geprobeerd met een zelfbouw constructie die aan de bak van de shovel bevestigd kan worden.
Contractor JB ter Steege (Enter) busy chopping and silaging their last maize for 2019, this was done at farmer and KZreadr Alex the Dutch Dairyfarmer.
When we arrived at Alex that morning he just had all his own maize in the pit and the crew left for another field of maize which he had bought, he also wanted to have a look and film there himself so we followed him to the field.
The chopping is done with a Claas Jaguar 960 which is fitted with a 10 row Claas Orbis 750 header, driving alongside the forage harvester we see a Fendt 939 Vario and Fendt 936 Vario
with both a Schuitemaker Siwa 370 tri axle silage trailer.
The pitwork is done with a Volvo L90E wheel loader which also helps both Fendt tractors with the last few loads by pushing or towing them onto the pit, the pushing method was tried here for the first time using a self built construction which can be fitted to the bucket of the wheel loader.

Dankje Jan. Nee, hebben nog meer mais (moeten immers december en januari ook nog door zien te komen :P). Deze video was de laatste mais voor die betreffende loonwerker voor dat seizoen.

I think you always keep a specific interest in machines and way of work from the time you grow up in, thats why we are always particularly interested in machines that were there in the late 80's and early 90's. It is also the reason we started filming many years ago as we started noticing that those machines started to disappear, and if you look back on the channel a whole lot more has disappeared in the past few years, and not just machines but also farmers and contractors. At some point these Fendt tractors, the Claas Jaguar 960 and maybe even this way of farming will also be 'old school', so I hope we can preserve a bit of it in this way.
