Do we make a square necklace?
Necklaces are usually round or oval depending on the length, but we rarely find them square.
In this video I show you how to make one. We also introduce the use of textiles to make the connections.
The decoration is based on fine lines of colors with a random distribution and that form concentric squares with respect to the main geometry.
The colours I have used are:
Green:
- Cernit - Spring Green - Ref. 603
- Cernit - Green Lichen - Ref. 652
- Cernit - Emerald - Ref. 620
Purple:
- Cernit - Periwinkle - Ref. 212
- Cernit - Mauve - Ref. 941
Blue:
- Cernit - Caribbean - Ref. 211
Yellow:
- Cernit - Cupcake - Ref. 739
Cernit White - Ref. 027
Cernit Black - Ref. 100

Que bello 😱😍 hace que se vea muy fácil de hacer, y la técnica de picar la arcilla y que finalmente terminara formando líneas jamás de los jamases se me hubiera ocurrido que terminara en ese resultado 👌🏼❣

Ana, so creative! I'm concerned about the strength & durability of the single layer of tulle. It has a wispy, ethereal beauty, but will it withstand handling and multiple wearings? Have you tried a similar approach with a stronger fabric such as satin ribbon?

Thank you very much for your question, it's very interesting. I have tested different fabrics and they all worked well. I haven't found any that burned when baking the clay, which is good. It is true that a satin ribbon is more resistant, but the tulle I have used gives that ethereal touch and is also quite strong. It is true that this is the weak point of the necklace but the trick is to look for a tulle that is very strong. Not those you find that are light and very thin. I have worn the necklace for several days and nothing happened. It is also true that not everyone treats pieces delicately when wearing them. 😘

@ I have thought about combining polymer clay with fabrics. I did not consider tulle and net. Thank you for your designs and ideas. I appreciate how carefully you finish your pieces, something that is the sign of a true professional. I have much to learn from you.

Esther son cierres de bisuteríacon un baño de latón, pero si te soy sincera no te puedo decir de qué material exactamente 😯 😘😘😘
