@CK Bradley Don't let homeless stay at your place. I know friends who have lost loved ones who did that. Some homeless are mentally ill and violent, but their violence only comes out during episodes so they might seem nice one minute and want to kill you the next.

Agreed 100%. People leaving keys in locks is somewhat common too. A long workday, you are in a rush to use the bathroom etc and its easy for this to happen.

Actually law states if you have any of the tree hanging on the public side (sidewalks etc) then it’s free game and isn’t illegal. It IS unethical, and morally wrong, but not illegal

My God people have some big Balls going onto other people’s yards and taking their blooming roses. I can’t even imagine. I wished someone would get caught doing it and saying something. I live in a area that I didn’t grow up in and these people here act like they have never been confronted on anything (they probably haven’t they just talk behind each other’s backs). When I confront them on something like my dog (who they really hate because she is my guard dog and doesn’t allow anyone close to the house without letting me know) the look on their faces is priceless. … yes she is fenced and they don’t leash theirs

Make a habit of never forgetting them and it will never happen. Mental checklist. But, if your way is effective, why not..... just remember, they make no noise when you aren't carrying them, and if ever want to not announce your presence to everyone within a football field from you, you're screwed.

so don't leave bags with valuable information in your car, keys in doors, underwear on washing lines (ladies; no-one's ever taken my XXXL Yfronts unless they're going camping and want a tent), tools you need for work in a pick-up back etc etc, unless you don't mind them being stolen. You can't do anything about the drunk drivers, car thieves, rose pickers, nose pickers and general no-hopers turning our neighbourhoods into crime scenes.

Loss of consequences for petty theft and crime. They don't get locked up, they must be caught so many times before they get a fine or short sentence. Lots are on drugs. Others are looking for things to sell for money. Used to be these types of petty crimes got you trash pick up duty 9n sides of highways so everyone could see you.

I have had people come up to my fence and reach over pulling flowers off my bushes before. I caught them and asked WTF are you doing? She said it was mothersday and needed flowers for her mother. I said Mothersday is not for another 6 months, you lying thief. After I said if you had asked me for some flowers, I probably would have given you a few. Instead, I called the cops. The cops told me this was not her first time stealing peoples stuff and arrested her again. She got community service and had to pay me $100 for the flowers. I have never seen her again after that, but It truly is amazing what people think they are entitled to.

I live in an apartment in the US, and have had to pay to have a mail box at the post office to receive my medications. Too risky here to do it. The delivery people would knock once and just drop it and leave. Nothing to get a person "HIGH", but expensive as heck to replace.
