Lago di Garda, Garda Lake or Garda See based on what language you speak is an absolutely stunning mountain biking (MTB) destination. There are loads of natural trails that you can ride here. Lake Garda is situated in North Italy in the region of Trentino Alto-Adige.
Lake Garda is one of my Top 10 best mountain biking destinations in Europe. Here you will find some of the best mountain biking trails in Europe if you are ooking for wild trails with rocks and ungroomed trails. This MTB video features one of the best MTB trails at Lake Garda.
In this mountain biking video I am riding the Moletta Trail near Arco and Riva del Garda. So, it is in the northern part of Lake Garda. The Moletta Trail is intermediate difficulty It is not a steep trail compared to other trails at Lake Garda and you can get into a good flow. The MTB trail is very diverse and offers rocks, forest trails, climbs, big rocks and rock off-camber slabs.
You will find the Moletta Trail by heading towards the village of Massone and follow either the "760 - Velo Grand Tour", the "671 - Velo Tour Maso Naranch" or the "Tour Velo Classic" uphill at the paved road until 2,2 km until you come to a paved road that goes down into the forest on your left side. The Moletta trail starts here with about 100 meter on the paved road until the trail opens ud.

In this GoPro POV MTB mountain biking video from the Moletta Trail at the Garda Lake I am riding my Orbea Rise H15 eMTB on DT Swiss E1900 alloy Enduro wheels with Maxxi Assegai at the front and Maxxis Minion DHR II at the rear. I run a Fox 36 Float Performance 150 Grip fork and a Fox Float X 140 Factory as shock.

Grazie mille! Moletta Trail is one of my favourite trails around Arco and I always ride it a few times when I visit Lago di Garda 😄
nice trail. in the beginning of the viedeo there is a sign "driving ban". is this one meant for this Moletta trail?

Good question! There is a sign further down the trail to the left (that you unfortunately cannot see in the video), so I assume that sign is for one of the hiking paths that leads down the mountain. On the right side where the Moletta Trial goes, there are no sign. Nonetheless, generally speaking, for all trails near the Garda Lake look out for hikers :)
Hi, are the trails there shared trails or MTB only trails ? And how do you navigate the trails, it does not really look like there is any signage...

No, there are unfortunately no signposts and the trail is shared with hikers. So, one needs to keep the speed a bit under control. To be frank though, I have not yet met any hikers on the Moletta Trail yet. I use my GPS to track the trail. If you are looking for something exclusively for MTB in roughly similar difficulty then check the Monte Brione trail. I also have a POV video for that trail.

@@henriklikesbikes Thanks. I will. Do you use the stock Garmin Map and GPS or do you have an "add-in" to make navigating easier ? I have a hard time loving the GPS and MAP functionality in my Garmin 830...

@@topgundk I actually run with a Wahoo Elemnt Bolt which is super basic map functionality, but easy to read while on the trail. I am not that familiar with Garmin :/
