Magic stat still occasionally finds use, but HP I find even more useless since the magics that are really only good at boosting HP generally get you to max anyway.

HP-Ups for maxing HP, it will cost around 17.5M gil per character to bump them to 5K+ base HP, and with Full-life, that's 9,999HP for everyone. Devour T-rex for str and put meteor on there, since everyone's strength with maxed weapons will be in the 230-240s, it won't take long to max that. Vitality is quick - 2x adamantoise spawns, use Quistis' micro missiles for these devour fights. Marlboro (assuming everyone already is lv100 for the best benefit of stat boosts, use a ribbon ability for all three of the party, making the fight easy and trivial.) Marlboros don't spawn as much and I don't think spirit is personally essential to max, though it is nice. Fighting Adamantoises will get you a lot of adamantines, DO NOT REFINE these into vit-ups, instead, refine them into steel-curtains. All three of my party now have: Auto-Haste Auto-Protect Ribbon (Insert whatever you fancy here) i.e. Luck+50% for Zell/Irvine's armageddon fist/shot.

Take note!! For a perfect file where no characters can be ko'ed just use break magic via junctioned weapon or just cast it on the person you want to recieve zero xp and it will effectively take them out of the battle BUT it does NOT count as a ko on that character.

It’s more beneficial to lev100 1 character at a time so they can all benefit from that stat boosts from cactuar. I start with Quisty and have the others dead until she is max revive 1 swap cactuar to them and set the bonuses. Then max them and repeat for every member. Then you can save your higher level magic for stats you don’t get bonuse + for

I leveled everyone to 100 on Island Closest to Hell as well. I had them take turns; one using Cactuar, and a second using a combination of GFs, so both characters get the same stat ups. I forwent the HP stat up and used the others, since it's pretty easy to max HP or use junction and HP%+ for 9999. Everyone had pretty much similar stats by 100. I tried Island Closest to Heaven and didn't like it.

Thanks for the tip. Although, I leveled up only two characters to build up their stats, while the third one was ko’ed. Now, I find that leveling the third character is extremely slow. Any thoughts and recommendations?

The Icehockey Court when you enter galbadian Garden First Time is also a very good Place. So a GF attack and all of them are, you Level up almost every match, so does GF and you get some Hi-potions everytime you beat the hockey players

I waited until I got Bahamut and Eden before I leveled up. That way Bahamut and Omega Weapon was a breeze to kill at low level. I carded enemies during deep sea where Enc-None (or the remaster version's "no enemies") was prevented from using.

Most of the monsters that you Devour on the Island Closest to Hell can give stat boosts. I think the Ruby Dragon, Trexaur, and Malboro give you permanent boosts.

Adamantoises On The Dollet Beach Do Too, If I Remember Right I Think They Give VIT Boosts.

Are you able to just junction death to status attack and attack them normally for a 1hit ko? Or do the monsters have guard against death?

I do mine 2 at a time when I have all GF’s. Get them maxed out using the stat boosts.

When I have status refine Magic available I can't refine pain and Asuna and Junction them to my status distance that Tunes to prevent a lot of the status issues that you seem to be having it doesn't prevent berserk however least I don't remember preventing berserk by the time

And A Good Idea To Make The MOST USE Of Stat Boosting At Level Ups Is To Have 1 Character DOWNED In Battle, While The Other 2 Have The Following Equipped: 1. 1 Character Has Ifrit, Siren, Brothers, Carbuncle, And Leviathan All Equipped With A SELECTION Of 4 Out Of 5 Abilities: STR Bonus, MAG Bonus, HP Bonus, VIT Bonus, And SPR Bonus. I'd Go With STR Bonus, HP Bonus, VIT Bonus, And SPR Bonus. 2. Same For The Other Character, Except THIS One Has "Cactuar" On With 4 Of The 5 Stat Bonus Abilities It COMES WITH.

Definitely this. Don't level up all 3 until you are down to just Squall and 1 other character (I usually do Quistis/Zell first with Squall KO'ed, then swap Zell for Selphie/Rinoa, then do the other, and do Squall/Irvine last together with Quistis) on the Island Closest to Hell. The reason for only 2 until the last set is because of Ruby Dragons there and their Breath/Meteor spells only flying when 3 characters are alive. I typically have Cerberus/Alexander (with one given a Rosetta Stone for abilityx4) on Quistis with Cactuar/Shiva/Diablos, as this gives her all the necessary stat junctions, including elem and stat defx4 (with 100xPain/Death/Berserk/Confuse). The alive character should have Doomtrain, Carbuncle, and Leviathan regardless and a mix of 2 out of Brothers/Ifrit/Siren depending on 2 things: what level and what character. If you are looking to max characters out naturally (aka, you don't even need junctions to have max stats), leave HP Bonus on all characters from your starting level all the way to 100. If not, you only want to leave HP Bonus on for as long as it takes ti get their non-junctioned HP just over or at the difference between 9999 and whatever spell you plan to junction to HP (Full-Life is best and gives 4800HP with 100 stock, which means anything over 5200HP at Lv100 on any character is wasted. You may need to look up a guide to see how much HP each character needs as bonus to their natural lv100 HP cap.). Physical characters (Squall, Zell, and Irvine) all benefit moist from Str Bonus, since none of their standard attacks/limits are magic based. The opposite is true of Selphie, as her Slot limit is fully magic based. Rinoa and Quistis are balanced and use both, unless you only plan to use Rinoa's Angel Wing and not Angelo for limits, in which, she should match Selphie. The reason HP Bonus is so good is because it offers triple what the HP Up and HP+ Devour enemies give. They only give +10HP, where HP Bonus gives +30, and all other stats are only +1, regardless of bonus, up item, or devour.

Also, you can use the KO'ed Squall to junction 1 other GF at a time not being used for the other characters to help max out their levels too, since he may not get the EXP, but they will! (Eden/Tonberry/Bahamut/Pandemona/etc) This is especially great for Eden, since it requires 1000 EXP to level up, unlike the 500 that all the others only need...

@@whiteeeveeangel it is much easier to raise HP by refining giant's rings into Gaea's rings into HP Up. 150k for every HP Up vs 1.5m for the other stats.

@@anarchiesctall this is is math. To keep things easy we'll use Selphie. Her max natural hp at Iv 100 is 3680, the lowest of all 6 characters. Assuming we're just getting enough to use Full-Life to junction to max hp, she needs an additional 1520hp to get to 5200. This requires 152 HP up items, or 50 levels + 2 hp ups with hp bonus. I can grind out 50 levels in about 20 minutes using my method... How quickly can you crank out 22.8mil in order to afford your items?

whiteeeveeangel it is not abt just increasing one stat. It is much easier imo to get str/vit/mag/spr (compared to HP) using level-ups than thru refining or devouring. U can earn Gil quickly by refining tents and cottages into mega-potions. Fuzz had a video on earning Gil. Disregarding luck and spd, vit is the hardest of the five as the esthar pet shop doesn’t sell vit+x items

Well what I did was I went back to my dormitory in balamb garden, asked everyone to leave me alone like the emo teen squall is. Then I equipped all the GFs on squall, equipped all the stat bonus and lvl up by tonberry. Then I went to the training Centre to level up squall to 100, took maybe an hr (while I was watching Netflix). It isn’t that slow at training centre because you meet T. rex quite often, and with lvl up you get a lot of exp too. Once squall is lvl 100, I’d bring in 2 other team mates and go to the islands to lvl up. Cos there is enough stat bonus to give to only 2 members at a time. Of cos it will take a longer, but you’d be able to maximize ur stats for all members.

Junction Zombie to Status Attack and phoenix down/life magic.

I found statatk-death 100 to work well on the island closest to hell.

Yes it does but you also have to take the risk of an enemy casting death on your party. On the Island Closest To Hell, you should save your game after every ten battles.

Where did you get the stat bonus ability for all your characters? Cactuar has 4, but the others have one.

Ifrit(str) siren(mag) brothers(HP) carbuncle(vit) leviathan(spr) In order to obtain these you must have taught your gf's their +% abilities to their corresponding stats.

How you can use limit break with out aura magic or not low hp ?

When I'm doing my leveling at the endgame, I prefer to level two characters at once so I can get str/vit/mag/spi bonus on everyone. I leave Squall for last so he doesn't hoover up the xp (even dead, having a higher average party level slows xp gain). Another option to Quistis is Zell, his dolphin punch->meteor strike->heel drop combo is made for taking out random encounters with tons of HP. Finish with Meteo Barret for style points, but just repeating the combo is effective enough.

Basically, your average party level compared to enemy level determines how much xp you get (modified by the monster in question, of course). To my knowledge GF xp is not modified in such a way, but it does split xp between all of an individual character's GFs. If you have 1 specific one you want to level then don't junction more than one GF to that character (does not matter if the other party members have more equipped)

I am having issues with xp, when I solo leveled Edea she was getting 6k + but for some reason my party only get 1-2k xp per kill using this method. I've tried solo and as a duo trio. Obviously it's stupidly slow with this rate :(

Hell is better since Ruby Dragons are there. They have Meteor, Flare, and can drop Energy Crystals. Marlboros are also less common BUT have a chance to drop 10 Curse Spikes. Also except for Marlboro and Hexdragons, everything else is weak to Status Attack - Death Junction making this even easier. in 11 hours, I grinded on Hell to lvl 100 ALL characters and GF.

Question how you have so much hp in that low lv? This ff kinda confusing with the junction system 🤔

Question, are we lvl up one by one character manualy? Bcause the boost ability in cactuar and cactuar is only junction in one person? So the only get bonus stat on every lvl up its only the person who junction cactuar right? Or another character gain the bonus stat too even the cactuar not junction with them? You could do that. Other gfs May have 1 of the bonus abilities, for example ifrit just has str bonus, so if you put all of those on 1 character you can do 2 at a time

@@robovhull Yep It Only Does That For Whoever Has Them Equipped, Hence Why It's Best To Level 1 Character At A Time And Have The Other 2 Dead. Or BETTER YET, Level Quistis To Level 100 FIRST And Get HER Stat Boosts(Rotating Between STR/MAG Between Battles Each Time While Keep The OTHER 3 ON ALL TIMES) And Then She Can FREELY KILL The Enemy With Degenerator While Another Character Levels Getting Stat Gains The SAME Way.

I lvled rinoa and quistis to 100. Everyone else is at starting lvl. It allows me to use them as xp sponges and I rarely need to lvl up enemies now. I think it is important to keep atleast a couple low lvl characters. If you don't you will find lvling eden up to 100 to be waaay to time consuming as apposed to making him a single junctioned gf on a low lvl character in a low lvl party. If you do the latter it will take virtually no time at all.

I killed off a party member as I only had enough Lvl-Up bonuses to put all on Squall (minus HP) and all on Quistis (again minus HP), put initiative on my dead party member as well as auto reflect and auto shell (which still work even though he was dead), leveled Squall and Quistis to 100 then leveled my last party member with all (except Mag - as it is my fighter). Works a charm.

By default you have the option to max 1 character with all stats by kaktorius and another by junctioning brothers, leviathan, carbuncle, siren, ifrit. But you probably have only 1 rosetta stone at that point so the 2nd character might get only 3 stats to max. Except you try angel search trick for chocobo world items. Thazs why i start max.ing out characters relatively late so i can fight with only 1 alive and survive the dragons. I junction sleep magic to standard attack for that since the red dragons are pnly vulnerable to that. The final action is upgrading the bonuses granted by the gfs to 60% for every stat. I ignore hp completely since every standard monster is no threat any more. Only optional bosses might need you to have 9.999 hp. That way you have every stat at 255 and might even get there with low tier spells freeing the powerful ones for combat use.

@@BrienneofDarth You Can Do The Same Thing With "Seifer" In The Dollet SeeD Exam, But ONLY For Your FIRST 3 GFs: Quezacotl, Shiva, And Ifrit. That's USEFUL For Ifrit Though, As He Only Gains "Ammo-RF" At LV 10. If ONLY You Could Do That With Siren To Gain Treatment Early Without Leveling! If I Had To, I'd Use Either Irvine Or Quistis Only.

1st time i tried to beat this game and after about 50hr gameplay i was frustated i could not beat last boss. So i started new whole thing and came with such strategy- bonus and skip all grind just gather magics different types to get the helpful effects. So the second round for beating the game i got all 6 char about 130+ stats for everything.. can you beat ultima weapon with bunch of lvl 50 party?😂 i can!!! And i got my super party and i could beat artemisa and that griever gf with any of my 6 heroeS

What is the earliest point in the game that you have access to this island? Is ragnarok needed?

You can fight Marlboro near the train station you walked to from FH. Also if you go to grendel spawn and lvl them to 100 then kill it is a very very fast way to lvl aswell because grendels will spawn 100% of the time and can give thousands of xp to low levels

How do you get cactuar on lvl 5 balamb garden? 🤣 - My team 1) Str type or Physical dmg (Squall,Irvine) 2) Status immune spr and vit type for curing and reviving. (Zell) ( A Tank) 3) Elemental immune Spr and Mag type. (Quistis,Selphie) (Support dmg) ✌️😏

Remastered version has battle boost feature, if u turn it on u will automatically have limit break each turn

Fun fact whichever level you are the monsters in the game are doubled so its pretty useless to level up. You can get lionheart and other ultimate weapons disc 1 and alsothere is a wway to get amazing magic like flare ultima meteor and those stuff junctioned to your charecter.So try not to level up and find a guide to do those stuff

Probably farmed XP with Edea (with the other 2 party members killed) during the start of Disc 3.

Death is best if you don't use quistis but since death can fail to affect the enemy degenerator is more consistent and thus more reliable.

Will do this just for fun,will have to beat the game for the 5th time in just 2 weeks ya know.

kind of a disingenuous video because after you get the first 3 to lvl100, which is super fast, it's going to take something like 200+ battles per character after that due to the XP being sapped by quistis (who you need for the limit break) and squall (who you can't switch out). It's still the best spot, but it would have been nice to tell people that it slows down by an incredible amount after the first set.

Completely usseles quide, cause you can buy and refine all ability UP stats for eweryone to get all to 255 without junctioning magic... :-)

If everyone uses 4 stat up abilities while leveling you would save yourself 2180 stat up items if you increased hp on everyone and 3270 stat up items if you did not increase hp on all characters.

Just go to island closes to hell

All well and good, but why would anybody want to do that? This game is extremely easy. There is only one hard enemy in the entire game (omega weapon) and he is optional.

Nothing against people who do this but why not play legitly? Takes all the fun and challenge out of the game.

What u talking about. In FF8, the higher ur lvl, the harder the game is. Also takes a piss ton of time to do it.

nah i got better strategy leveling squall to 100 in disk 2 killing level 100 t-rexaur inside the balamb training facility by just using the zombie and life magic in a blind t-rexaur

I level up to 100 cause it’s way to easy at low level when I did it I beat ultimate weapon with one renzo and about 8 ap ammo and it was just boring to me .

Beat omega twice when youtube wasnt around all i got some few tips on net. Lacking some magic here and there, missing some stat boost. Not that really hard beating it on 100 tbh.
