It would be cool to see a complete archive of ITV/Global's news broadcasts, I'd watch them all from the 80's and 90's.

It was good to see the years of change and growing of Global News from ITV in 1974 until now. Good work!!!!

I remember how excited we were to get another channel...;)

ITV And now Global. 40 years.WOW? Where has the time gone? Transformation to the Studios. New Face. However. Same . The best in Journalism. From what our viewers expect. Second to none. Keep it up Everybody.

That's the 1984 "Going Strong" promo (used to commemorate 10 Years of ITV Edmonton) it was followed by "Watch Us Now!" in 1985, and then "Looking Good" from 1986-87 (which showed a shot of the ITV logo animation from that promo).

Growing up I was only aware of two channels. In Grande Prairie we only got CBC and CFRN. Not sure when I discovered ITV. I think it was when I was at my dads one summer in Fort Assiniboine lol

I remember in the 80's ITV produced a recording of Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

I remember Looney Tunes used to be on ITV .

Why do tv news anchors ALWAYS have a MATURE aged man and a YOUNGER woman??????

Not so independent since Global took over ! Why don't these stations just stay the way they are not sold out to the big guy ?

Bilal Ahmed ITV Edmonton and Calgary 7 have been affiliates carrying Global TV between 1988-2000 until they bought them to become o&os of the network, Alberta is the last province that Global owned it's stations here

It's the name is "GlobolG Eddymonton"

Such an amazing legacy before canwest (and later corus/shaw) ruined the identity with consolidation.

If anyone has a copy of the TV Show Disco Daze from Edmonton, please let me know.

We really lost something when stations like ITV and CFAC in Calgary stopped being independents with some great local programming and became unexceptional parts of just another friggin' Toronto-controlled network (Global).

ITV is in the UK they produce Coronation Street. Bring ITV back to Canada?
