It would be good if you could let us know the maintenance, parts expenses, service intervals for kawasaki bikes from z650 and upwards. Sriram kotaru gave a very clear picture on how expensive was benelli 600i to maintain. So it would be helpful to all since 4 kawasaki premium bikes have launched this year. Thank you.

what about the fuel...i think 95 octane is recommended right ? if i use super from shell petrol bunks, is it still good and will it affect the engine ? pls share some light on this since fuel is a big concern in India.

Pratap Bp i have been using power from shell and its been running smooth till now. recently i took the bike to mangalore and in b/w i had to fill normal regular fuel as high octane fuel was not available. to my surprise the bike was running equally smooth without any engine knocking. i wont recommend any one to use regular fuel, but for that works in situations where there is no alternative

i liked ur comments abt the bike sir....honest and very frank....i agree with the bang for buck....another thing is why the Z800 doesn't have features like slippper clutch, ride-by-wire and traction control? its available on cheaper/less powerful bikes compared to the Z800 like the KTM Duke/RC 390 2017 models....i mean whats the philosophy kawasaki has behind the Z800?

i hv consider trading my z1000 '08 for the 800 but the weight of the 800 is making me think thrice as i will be doing alot of street riding during rush hr commuting to and back from work. Damn Kawi why do you hv to make that bike so heavy?
