This is the longplay of the game Gradius IV, released in February 1999, initially for Arcades and then in the compilation Gradius III and IV, released for Playstation 2.
After the battles in Gradius II and Gradius III, Gofer (villain of the second game) was defeated by Vic Viper, the Gradian spaceship and the game's protagonist. After Gofer was defeated, one of the pieces of this monster wandered through space, until it fell to Earth, which caused this piece to mutate, causing the villain to be reborn again, with plans to enslave humans and dominate the Universe. Therefore, the Earth sends a warning message to its ally, the planet Gradius, the Gradians receive the message and go to help the humans, the two races are united again in the fight against Gofer and his army of Bacterians resurrected again.
Gradius IV represented a great graphic evolution in relation to its predecessors, instead of sprites in 16 bits, it now has graphics that simulate 3D and that already showed the graphic trends of the time, just before the arrival of the Playstation 2.
The subtitle of Gradius IV, Fukkatsu, means "resurrection". Without a doubt it is one of the most difficult games in the Gradius series.
The game has an extremely insane difficulty. The video was made on Normal difficulty.
I choose the Playstation 2 version because I was unable to make the Arcade version work.

I bought Gradius III and IV over twenty years ago and still haven't completed either of them. Excellent display of skill!
Simply the Gradius series is entertaining, classic and a game each one of them. It is a guarantee!

I just noticed that the description makes mention of Earth, despite Earth never being mentioned in this game's backstory or anywhere in the Gradius universe. The planet that the resurrected form of Gofer landed on is just some random planet.
This game was good. Also, gradius v is the last game from gradius series released in ps2 in 2004 and the longplay is coming. I hope you'll be a greatest player.

Omggggggggg 😱😱😱😱😱😱 this is the most difficult game to play... ur mind has to be 100% perfect in order to see clearly any layer coming at you.. but in the beginning you have to die 10000 times in order to know what's ahead of you... however! I've also seen others hacking this game to a point where you never die at all periodically. Which is stupid to me.... but judging by this particular video I've noticed that he didn't hacked the game to cheated out. He literally masterminded and strategized it so perfectly that he was able to overcome all those loses to be able to had gotten to this point... great job bro. But I'll challenge you to a money 💰bet and see how far can we both make it without enough ammunition.. with at least enough but but much... just to see if ur able to challenge ur self. Let me know if you want to make that bet
