It's a bit like Luigi's Mansion where you explore different rooms in a mansion and catch ghosts. Difference is that the ghost hunting is really simple and there's much more combat and a puzzle at the beginning of each room before you're able to turn the lights on and start catching ghosts. Graphics are pleasing, controls are fine, difficulty is good and length is reasonable (this run is obviously practiced.. it'll probably take you around 6 hours for the first time without a guide).

@@longplayarchive I gotta tell ya, when I played this game, the jump scares scared the crap out of me, not to mention it gave me nightmares when I was a kid.

I love this game so much. I used to stay up all night and play it until I couldn’t stay awake any longer. I was so sad when I finally beat it as kid.

I recently beat this on nightmare difficulty. it was tough as hell, even the weakest ghosts are a pain to kill. You get cheat codes at the end for it though. Still worth a play through, love this game

Wow, this game is pretty creative! I love how, even with the same mechanics, they usually have you do something different on every level!

This channel is the best, just about every game I played in my childhood is here and I can see how things were from back then to now like the sound of when you pause the game to get a fun little song.

The game was so scary to me as a kid! It was those ladies with the hair on their faces that just freaked me the f*** out. I would have to go to the pause screen to listen to the funny upbeat music if I got too scared. Also why is this Disney game so much scarier than half the horror games on the market right now???!!

Back in time when Nintendo has more Disney games until The Switch arrived

I just thought of this game out of nowhere a few minutes ago. I couldn’t think of the name but thought of it pretty quickly. Immediately from the menu, music, gameplay and everything else, it brought back memories from when I was 6-7 playing my GameCube. First time I’ve watched this game since I last played it a decade ago. This was true childhood nostalgia.

A family friendly survival horror game.

I love this game, I have it still, but I got this when I was 14 (2003) for Christmas and I love how it had nothing to do with the movie. I played it so much lol I used this house layout in the sims 2 at the time to build the haunted mansion in that game, took me 3 months to make. I’m 33 now and to have this game remade with updated graphics, omg 👌👌👌👌👌😩

I remember watching the trailer of this game on the dvd of the haunted mansion movie and I wanted this so bad but never got it lol

When I first played the game years ago, I thought I would be playing as Eddie Murphy, but was surprised to play as that Zeke guy.

Well both were based on the attraction ride, but the game is mostly based on the ride, and not the film, the Haunted Mansion game came out first in October of 2003, while the film version, which is different from the game, came out a month later in November of that same year.

Hey I remember playing that game before when I was a kid. Good times.

I always thought the Trophy Room had the coolest enemy intro (with the knight) in the entire game.

Ghostbusting, Disney style.

Gallery part or the portrait room had me stuck this video came in clutch 👍

This game here is one of my most favorites and I still have this game too for PS2, original Xbox, and Nintendo GameCube since I have this game for all of the systems that it came out for. Although I really like all three versions of the game, I probably like the PS2 version slightly better since it was one of the very first PS2 games I've ever played when I first got the PS2 for Christmas many years ago back when I was younger and the PS2 version of this game is also playable on PS3 via backwards compatibility, but only on the 20 and 60 GB launch model PS3 systems though including the first 80 GB PS3 model that came out. It's a shame that the original Xbox version isn't backwards compatible on Xbox 360 or anything, but the PS2 version is backwards compatible on the PS3 models that can physically play PS2 game discs, and the GameCube version is backwards compatible on the original first model of the Wii.

We need to push Disney to remake this or remaster it at the least

Had this one on the ps2. bit shocked to see it was on the GameCube actually. cool that it's basically the same game though. Definitely a hidden gem on both consoles.

The game was actually based on the ride, not the movie. The game and movie actually didn't have much in common.

I never quit the game, but I definitely took a break from it cuz of that room. That room was absolutely ridiculous. I've always been one of those to play every single video game on it's hardest mode (if given the option), even on my first time playing. That room and the mosuleum were crazy.

Game was much better, but honestly the reason it didn't get much attention other than being overshadowed by the movie (since they came out at the same time), is cuz the game was part of that end of the year, "Let's put a bunch of games out on the market for Christmas," ordeal.

As you can tell this one is I think based on the movie
