This re-recording has much improved quality (previous video was 360p.. why?) and features all three maps on "Long", meaning the entire board is shown rather than just a part of it. Whilst it looks like a Mario Party clone, it doesn't at all play like it. There's no dice roll in this game but the amount of squares you're allowed to move depends on how well you ranked in the minigame. Each map fortunately has it's own minigames, but the game is still going to feel incredibly repetitive after a while especially considering the minigames across the maps are basically just reskins of each other. Not bad, not great. The only part I really hate is the ending of each map where there's 3 squares that you can only move one at a time on. The first square requires you to place 3rd or better in the minigame, second requires 2nd or better and the third requires 1st. However, if an opponent gets on a "shop" square, he's able to purchase an item that makes you move several squares back. Whilst the game only allows you to move one square at a time on these special squares, it has no issue calling you back three squares when such action is summoned. I had a couple of rounds where the CPU would bombard me with it which was extremely frustrating as it took over 10 minigames to actually make it across those three squares.

I had this on GameCube as a kid. I don't think i ever actually sat through the intro. I am now realizing Namco didn't have the best roster for a game Iike this.

I played this on ps2 and dude this was literally a fever dream the intro and characters look so unique and move unique the animation is like smooth this game was so fun probably never got far but I remember loving this game I own it now I just haven’t got to playing it recently

I remember this game! I always just played the tropical one because my 5-year-old self didn't know about the other two.

I have had faint memories of this game for years, always felt like a fever dream until today I decided to try and find it. Here I am. Still hard to believe it was real even watching it now.

My sister and i played this a lot growing up back in the day on PS2. Good times

fun fact: this was actually the first part game till 2010's Pacman Party.

For some a reason a token minigame where coins fall and a monkey throws anvils at you in a backstage area seems the best representation of the quality of this game 😂.
