Longaberger baskets pottery & wrought Iron - What to look for when thrifting & reselling

LONGABERGER is a upscale basket company that was located in Ohio and very familiar to us Midwesterners. I wanted to share some of my knowledge about these collectibles so you know what to look for when you are out thrifting & going to yard sales. Some of their baskets, pottery, wrought iron & home decor can bring in quite a return. Thanks for watching and if you have any further questions or need help identifying a certain piece feel free to message me on IG. All of my links & platforms are below!

Thank you for this. I love these baskets and pick them up if they are reasonably priced. I found 2 at the bins, and several at Salvation Army. All under $1.00. But went to Alaska to visit my daughter and there were 2 in their GW for .......$69.99 each. On the shelf. And they were not a special edition or collectors edition. I just about croaked right there! Lol.

I love my little collection of Longaberger Baskets & Pottery (which are very authentic, many signed but not a lot...they are also endurable and usable fir many things and clean up beautifully, very sturdy . They store nice in a beautiful country manner. I miss hearing about them occasionally. All of mine were hand made in the USA 🇺🇸 . Founder & Owner Dave Longaberger was an awesome Christian man of Simplicity and hard work. His daughters did inherit the business but did not have the experience or insight their daddy possessed. I do not believe it was not intentional for Longaberger to slow & change. Yet life happens

I have a huge collection of these baskets and pottery. I’m hoping one day the market value goes back up so I can sell them. If any of you are near Blue Springs, Missouri the Brass Armidillo (antique mall) has so much of this stuff in it.

Have found a bunch of them over the years at thrift stores....priced from 99 cents to 10 bucks. Once found a nested group of 6 like new Generation baskets, with all the accessories, for 6 bucks!

I always look for those great Longaberger baskets and can not find any. Thank you for sharing the history of the company. I did not Know they did Potter, I will have to start looking for them as well. I did not know that they even did the Wrought Iron stand, I love your collections. I really enjoyed hearing everything about the company and the history I did not know. I do the same thing when I am watching someone when Sourcing and I yell at the tube and they never hear me either, LOL
