I hiked the LT with my dog last year and this year we did the northern part again. I am impressed with anyone that can carry beer, lol. I am older 60s so I carry as little as possible. My luxury item is dog food. Maggie needs to eat and her carrying a pack did not go so great. Thanks for sharing

Haha, priorities! Maybe I would’ve had an easier time if I weren’t carrying the beer lol

I enjoyed watching your first video, nice job! My wife and I are starting our NOBO of the LT on July 30th, getting more and more excited everyday 😊

Really cool to see the 1st part of your journey! Look forward to seeing more video. So glad I could meet up with you and Sean with Sara and Kyle for Mt. Mansfield and camp. The next day big push was fun and strange adventure. Keep killing it.

Nice job...nice to see someone's SOBO vlog from this year before I head out. Was the climb up and down Jay Peak all on the ski trails or was it a rugged trail?

It was a rugged trail up until the last part then it was really steep up a ski trail!

What were day/night temps in July in that area? I grew up in Vermont and recall it being cool overnight even in the summer.

Yes, it got cool at night, especially at higher elevations! I’d say generally 50s but if I was up closer to 4000 feet more like 40s. During the day I don’t remember it being especially hot either, maybe 60-70s. It also was an especially wet July so it could have been on the cooler side because of that too.

@@HikingwithJenny How were the bugs? I saw you slept with a bug net on your hammock? I also hammock camp.

@@StatOnTheAT They didn't bother me while hiking, but I did have mosquitoes some nights at camp. There was one night that sticks out in my mind as being bad. The rest of the time I was able to keep most of them at bay by burning some mosquito coils. The Warbonnet Blackbird has an integrated bug net, so when I was in my hammock it was fine.
