This is one of the only channels that actually shows real heavy rain. Most of the other camping channels show nothing but light drops with fake rain sound effects.

Should have put up a ridge line first, before just letting your tarp lay on the ground & get wet , ridge lines work best for rainy situations & would have worked together to find higher ground instead of being in a soupy situation . Big old fail .

Who decides these spots?????? If you would have moved the Tent ⛺️ and Tarp 6-10ft back, then it wouldn’t be an issue of having to create drainage👀 Love The Video 💗 But it’s simple decisions that makes life so much easier!

It seems like it would be a lot easier to just bring a spade and dig a trench. And where water is running away from you and not pooling up under you. And since spades pull up and fold up. Why would you not bring one with you. There's one that I keep in my bug out bag.

I totally agree about the spade! I've camped in heavy rain and rain that continued straight for 2 days. One friend even used to bring these hollow foldable "boards" that he'd set his tent up on. Awkward to pack in, invaluable for heavy rain. I have to admit I don't like inside of my tent wetter than the outside.

Trench the site you are going to set up your tent in. I camp with my horses and they get their own stall tarps at the campground. I put up a real tarp for an awning off the side of my converted horse trailer. I have hooks on the side that the tarp gets hooked to them I bring out the poles of various lengths. It ends up working very well.
