Yes i did. If you want to have two side seams then just add another half inch or 1 inch then cut it on the fold

Yes all of my diy have atleast half an inch seam allowance

Just fold it once and it will give you the whole skirt

Hii one question, when you do the elastic as a waistband you streched it right? Because the elastic measurement and the fabric measurement ain't same So doesn't that make the waistband wrinkle or you ironed it?

After cutting the fabric, and before you do anything else, fuse a strip of interfacing along each seam allowance where the zipper is to go. This will stabilise the area and stop it from stretching.

Ooh I'm sorry but I don't know the prices😅 and I don't usually look at the price when I buy fabrics because I want to use quality fabrics when making my clothes ahaha. Btw the fabric I used here is mulberry satin 120-180 pesos per yard I forgot ahaha. I bought it at divisoria

i folded it diagonally. the length of the skirt depends on your height or how long you want it to be. but if it's the fabric itself I think this was 1.5 yards

No i just folded the fabric in half in a shape of a triangle. Then measured my hips and divided it in half + half an inch seam allowance (this is the first measurement) then measured the distance from my waist to my hips (2nd measurement) the measurement of my waist is not so important since usually the waist of this skirt is a little big thats why we used the elastic as a waistband to make it fit more on our waist. The last measurement is the length of the skirt. This depends of you on how long you want it to be. Hope this helps!

I don't really get the beginning of the video. How did you get 2 pieces to sew together? FOr the hip measurement divided by 2, is it the length of the line? SO did you cut the triangle to be the exact length of your hips/2? Please can someone explain/

You fold the fabric into a triangle first. Then measure your hips. ÷ 2 and that measurement is what you'll use. Since your fabric is folded, once you unfold it, it will give you the full measurement of your hips

I started out making clothes with a mini sewing machine for kids since is cheaper and it's not as complicated as the professional ones. You should get a really thin needle size 7 or 9 for delicate fabrics and go up to thicker needles for heavier fabrics

You didn't metion the size of the fabric, but is looks perfect.
