This is why I watch KZread and not movies or tv. This is what filmmaking and documentaries are about. Evoking emotion, motivating, telling a story, etc. THANK YOU AOD 🤙🏽

Sure. But there are plenty of good movie/tv documentary films as well. Doesn’t have to be an either/or situation.

Dude so fast, all his hair grow at the back of his head. Respect.
Kenya is a home of champions. Natural talented people's. He gave very good advise to the school children,s. To be a good student and to be a good runner or athlete. It's Possible that you can change your life. Now a days drugs is a huge problem for the young generation.
This is phenomenal, as a running fan, all I knew about Kiptoo was a guy who liked to push the pace from the front, and this short doc shows so much more about his life, even alluding to why he goes to the front, making the most out of every opportunity he has. I hope he has a great career ahead of him!
At 7:15 , "you are used to to riding car in America" really hits

Tell this man to start a KZread channel. Running will only bring so much money even at the very top. We would follow his story. Let’s hear it.
Thank you Wesley for sharing your story. May God bless your running and the dream of supporting your family in Kenya!
I think with this attitude to running and community, Wesley will be a fantastic ambassador to the sport. In my eyes, the next Kipchoge.. Maybe not in performance just yet, but the drive to help as many people as he can with enjoying running and also helping people unlock their possible potential. I wish Wesley all the best for his future and running.
I must say.. this was a really good story about Kiptoo. Stories like this inspire a lot of people not only in Kenya but through out the world. Thanks to producers of this story, and thank you Kiptoo. Who knows, maybe after seeing this story, theres already a new young Kiptoo is running barefoot somewhere in Kenya.

guarantee it! lots of incredible talent coming through the Transcend Running Academy
Their determination to escape suffering, to provide a better living condition for their families, makes them the fastest in the world.
Beautiful documentary. Running also save my life, I was able to go to college because of running and also cause of an american woman who buy a running shoes for me and help me financially so I can enroll in state university. Hope to have my foot and ankle surgery soon so I can run again.
This makes me realize how good and easy we have it in America. How we oftentimes look at our own situations and feel sorry for ourselves. But looking across the pond, there is real struggle, and somehow they continuously find peace and joy.

Watching Kenyans run. Beauty.
He was the second in that Chicago Marathon in his age group behind Kelvin Keptum [*]
So beautiful in his village in Kenya. There is wealth in the simple life, too.
yes! Glad to get this one out into the world!
The importance of a good story telling. When he "lost" the race foi 1 sec, i was very sad, because of the story and with a "heart" look. But with a analytic look, the winner has a story too.
Am an athlete, aspiring to get to Us ,I keep pushing.
Never heard of this guy but decided to put it on in the background. Imagine my shock when I hear "Iowa State" look over and see ISUs logo. Did not expect to hear them mentioned.
Amazing. The way his family dress up to receive him. The music. The joy. Family! Well done Wesley.
These videos help thousands of people to keep going.

Extraordinary film! Loved how they embraced him once he arrived back in Kenya. Wesley is making a name for himself and I hope he continues to strive for greatness.
Last year you run second Huston half marathon and this year you went back to Huston half marathon coming second just like last year.. who does that ….congratulation bro great work have watched you for years in high school now that you have family and running pro is amazing I’m so proud of you your story is inspiring I have watched this documentary three times now. Hard work and passion has made you who you are today it makes me shed tears every time I watch this doc. Kiptoo I wish you all the best in your running career. May almighty God bless you
You make me cry 🥀
It is wonderful documentary. So much difference between what he sees in the USA versus life in the villages and tribes in Kenya. But the fact remains that only 1% can make a decent living from running. What people need to recognize is that running is NOT the ONLY way out. It starts with the basics as in education. These Kenyan runners need to give back to their communities. Not in running but in hotels, schools, farming, industry, etc. Not everyone can be a runner. We are all so short sighted. Kenya the country needs to improve also. Stop the corruption. Stop the favoritism. More opportunities for Kenya in industry, travel, development, infrastructure, etc. RUNNING IS NOT THE SOLUTION to Kenya's problems. It is industry and development of hospitals, schools, roads, trains, etc.

Pls take time to watch minimalistic documentary and you will learn a great deal why we don't need all those things that you just mentioned.
God bless you Wesley Kiptoo. If only more Americans were of your mindset, determination, and humbleness.
I really liked warm reception and singing by village folks …. So pure Good luck
Proud to be part of AOD can't wait to do my first documentary as AOD student.
Just think how many millions of runners just like this we never hear about. Great video
Coming from a kenyan filmmaker/photographer, this is seriously well done!!! from the cinematography, storytelling, editing.. simply amazing!!! kudos to the whole team involved!!!
What a beautifully shot and emotional documentary. Love this. Kiptoo is an amazing young man and hasn't been the victim and is trying to uplift his community..and what an amazing community to be a part of. I grew up surrounded by a big family here in Ireland and I understand what that is. I hope the best for this young man and that he has an amazing career. I suspect he will.
Just beautiful people.
He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap 🎉🎉❤ Psalm 113:7

Excellent. Just excellent.
Very much humbled Wesley. Keep Going!
Such a good piece. Highly inspiring. AOD all the way!
Beautiful story and film, thank you.
Fantastic story. One thing I've noticed about all documentaries I've seen on Kenyan athletes is they all seem to have an innocent and beautiful soul. Such talent but none of it seems to spoil them. Lovely to see in any athlete not just Kenyans but it always appears there in these athletes coming from a very different culture and legacy
I'm crying like a baby.
Love from all the way from remote village in India 🇮🇳 😊 this is incredible documentary 😮
What a great inspirational documentary! Wesley's style of running looks like poetry in motion 👌
Awesome doc , very inspiring story,Kiptoo has a great future in his running career. The visuals are great. Well done .
A really good documentary! All the best Kiptoo🔥🔥🔥🎊🎊🎊
This is so beautifully done! The visuals are out of this world! So much emotion, thought provoking, and absolutely inspiring. A big thanks to those who put in the work for the rest of us to see!
Wow. What a beautiful story and documentary. You guys knocked this one out of the park. Thank you for bringing his story to the world like this! ❤
So good! Easily the best running video I’ve seen this year!
Great job Tad. I really appreciate the way you told the Kenya side of the story. We are filming our doc in Zambia and Kenya right now about the human wildlife conflicts between elephants and communities. Life can be tough for many people, but those living in rural communities in African countries, that's a whole other "tough". Every time I come home I'm reminded just how fortunate I am to be born in Australia and living in the United States. Loved your film, thanks for highlighting the amazing African people!

This was awesome. I loved how in the last race in the film, he didn't win. The editing was fantastic and made that scene really suspenseful. Doco's are about the sharing of the journey, not about winning in the end. Thank you for sharing Kiptoo's story! What an inspiring film.
Big up yourself Tad. Greetings from Nairobi, Kenya!
Love n best wishes from Eastern Himalayas Sikkim, India 🇮🇳
Loved this documentary. Thanks for showcasing his talent and life.

Stunning film. Just so inspiring. THANK YOU!
Awesome doc Mark Bone. I love the visuals & storytelling. I'm from Kenya and an aspiring filmmaker to shoot docs and what not. I would love to be able to shoot such and let them be seen in big screens. Wesley we are proud of you🇰🇪
Wonderful story! Very similar to a Sports Illustrated story in about 1989 that inspired me to start running and I’ve always wanted to go to the Great Rift Valley. I hope to meet Kiptoo…he’s an inspiration!
