Not too bad in most areas. I've never hit the reef badly, and surfed there loads over the years.

How is it up there at the moment? Thinking about going in the rainy season

Nobody at all here - local economy is struggling quite badly. You should definitely get some good waves in the wet season here too 👍

How often do people get shoved into those reef crevasses after a wipeout? I remember jetskiing there back in 2010 before I even tried surfing and the reef looks like its just 1ft underneath and gnarly like a cheese grater lol

It's very uncommon, although it can happen. We were told a guy actually died here not that long ago after getting trapped in one of those holes.. Taking a swim there is interesting - there are many super shallow bits!

Fly to Bandar Lampung - South Sumatra and organise a driver from there (6 hour drive). There will be guides for all of this online 👍

It's deeper than it looks, but you can still easily hit into it

It is a bit fat but it looks fun for beginners.

I realized again why surfing is fun. This is because it can fly over liquid like in the air.

Yeah probably one of Indonesias weakest waves. If there weren't world class waves everywhere in indo you'd probably go surf here. But i wouldnt fly all the way to indo to surf this.

It mustn’t be that deep there. You can see the reef
