They picked the right hosts. They're kind, patient, and empathetic. So refreshing to see, american presenters have to be so high energy and the shows are so *dramatic* it's emotionally exhausting. This fills my soul with peace. Thanks for sharing.

I love these shows. My dad made me give my son up for adoption at birth. It was 1969 and I was 16. I hated him for it. I looked for him the rest of my life. Finally the internet came in to play and these agencies that have access to social security can find them. At that time I found him, was 43. Fifteen minutes after I paid them they gave me his name. We're very close now and will be forever. Only a woman who's lost a child through adoption or death can understand the incompleteness that comes with this loss, and that emptiness that is there for the rest of your life. I have that freedom now because I'm finally complete, and forgiven....

some birth mothers react that way because they are wrapped up in their own guilt and couldn't get away from the shame they felt at not being a good enough mother. but they don't stop bonding with other family members. i'm hoping that this is the case for your friend as the the birth mother allowed the rest of the family to connect with her. but on the other hand, there are birth mothers who are unable to accept the child and by extension, reject everything. we've definitely heard stories of mothers replying back "now that you know my name, don't contact me ever again. don't speak to me or anybody in my family. you are not welcome here."

I love watching these stories not knowing that I was adopted until a year ago. Only to learn that my birth mother was near by. Our churches actually fellowship with each other and I would see her very often. What's funny though is that I always saw her family by coming into the store where I was assistant manager. Eventually when we met it was shocking to see this. God bless everyone who has an amazing experience.

I just *love* this show! When Bronwen was asked "how does that feel [seeing a picture of your son all grown up]?", and she replied, "It feels like love"... that just really got to me. She's right... it shows that he was loved by his adoptive parents, it shows he's happy and healthy, it shows that Bronwyn's incredibly loving sacrifice to give up her baby for adoption, never really knowing the outcome of his life, was all worth it. Wow. (I know they usually only show the happy-families versions of these reunions, but it is just so heartwarming to see the successful adoption stories, and those who when they become adults, do want to establish relationships with their Long Lost Family!)

As a father and a brother I couldn't imagine not knowing where my child is or how they're doing or even what they look like. Couldn't imagine having a sibling out there somewhere that I've maybe even asked by b4 but never knew. It's so amazing these people find each other.

Not liking that I am a only child, and as silly as I know it is, I keep hoping a sibling will show up as I watch these fabulous shows!

I love watching these video's and seeing connections made. The hosts of this show are so amazing and caring. This one with the sister's really pulled at my heart strings as I also found my biological family. I found 2 half siblings ! My sister, 4 years younger and I could be identical twins, except she got the curly blonde hair I always wanted and I got the board straight blonde hair that she always wanted !! Sadly I lost her 3 years ago to cancer. It breaks my heart still.

I really enjoy this show. There are many similar TV shows ,but I love the way this production went. I just wonder if they ever came across an adoption that didn't turn out as well. Would LLF still air or consider producing a show like that. Not all adoptions are fairy tale stories and some turn out to be the worst nightmare ever.

Just my opinion but I don't think they would air one that had such a bad ending as usually the people involved agree to the episode.

There was one where it took a few years for the son to be adopted, and he was taken care of but experienced no affection. Fortunately, he now has a wife who super loves him and his own family. So he’s doing well now, but his childhood after being given up was sad.

I lived apart and separated from my sister through the paternal line. Although she had maintained communication with my father (and therefore with my family) since her adolescence, it was never the same as having my other siblings with me. I remember very well the reunion almost 25 years ago that I still carry the emotion within me.
