In 1999, after Dan Runte had shattered the long jump record for a monster truck, while clearing a 727 airplane, the team set their eyes on jumping over a tractor-trailer lengthwise. To do so, testing was done at our test track at the time, just across the river in Madison, IL. This footage from October of 1999 shows multiple test jumps, including a wild ride where Dan puts the truck on its side.

As a Monster Jam fan, I still look at that airplane jump as the most impressive moment in the industry to date. Still love team Bigfoot and they are always respected as the original innovators, a top tier organization.

Agree, would love to see the airplane jump be redone but not for a record jump. Just for the DAM THAT'S BADASS cool

It is way scarier than it looks. I can’t imagine the airplane jump. That was intense. It must have been a major rush and relief when Dan landed it in stride!

I have been a bigfoot fan since the early 80's and I will never stop. I love the Anderson's too....hey...I can have 2 favorites....lol...jimmie Kramer and Dennis Anderson.....

This air, in 1999, with the truck not breaking is insane. Ahead of their time as always. Should see #4 make some jumps! Ole girl always held up.

This is awesome!! Bigfoot 14 (along with 15) just came to hawaii this past May 2019 and back in 1997. Different body of course. If this was only testing.....they should have left the body off initially. They Could have saved about $7/8,000. Lol.
