Mannnnn Jay sometimes gets on my nerves cuz I like voight and he one of my favorite characters cuz the same qualities and true grit.... But I guess you need that one one on your team that'll keep you grounded

Voight had to deal with crap from Woods all throughout season 5. Season 6 it was Kelton & his puppet Brennan against her will. Anyone within the CPD should know at this point not to mess with Voight

I knew there was something off about Brennan. Voight really has his work cut out for him gang bangers and killers are one thing but going up against the heads of the police department are another level. Voight is no saint but he would never let a murderer walk free one who killed his kid cousin and shoot at his team no less the nerve of Brennan asking him to do such a thing. Voight crosses the line to make sure bad guys are stopped but people like Brennnan, Kelton and Denny Woods only do it to advance their careers innocent victims be damned.

Because when he (the actor) was younger he suffered a car accident, and had to have a breathing tube put in during his time in the hospital. When he woke up, he kept yanking it off himself, damaging his vocal chords.

in the 2nd episode Hank kinda talk to Jay about his violating a direct order in which he almost got killed. Jay is just returning the favor whereas Hank and the squad could lose their jobs.
