I wrote Long Forgotten Daughter after years of struggling with postpartum depression. I tried to pray it away, and it didn't happen. At least, not for a long time.
I believe that we often heal by hurting together, or knowing we aren't alone. So I wrote this to let anyone out there struggling with depression to know that you aren't alone.
