I'm not going to criticize. I'm going praise your passion and say thanks for the tips! (I'll add one thing - I also use the drone without flying. I put it on a flat level surface, set up the shot and let it rip.) I'd like to share something I learned I went trough 9 DJI drones, starting from the Air Pro, Mini (2 of them), Mini 2, Air 2, Air 2S, Mini 3 Pro, Mavic 3 Pro, and just got the Mini 4Pro. Before I got the Mavic 3 Pro, my top 2 were the Mini 3Pro, and the Air 2S, and the Air 2 for backup. I Love the Mini 3 Pro because as a cyclist, it had the best most responsive active tracking and insane obstacle avoidance. The pics and video are great...until you see the difference when using the Air 2S...especially the pics. When I first noticed the difference, I stopped taking pics with the Mini 3 Pro. There was just no comparison. But for the bike, it's Awesome! And I'll still take pics, of course but none that I'll stress over. Then...along comes the Mavic 3 Pro and life has never been the same! I sold the Air 2, right away. lol. And next I got blind-sided by the release of the Mini 4 Pro, because of the omnidirectional obstacle avoidance, and improved tracking; lower to the ground, orbiting, etc. So I got it and sold the Mini 3 Pro immediately. Now, my top 3 drones in rotation are; Mavic 3 Pro, Air 2S, Mini 4 Pro. With those 3, I can get everything possible. I don't want to bore you or drone on (HA!) but if you can't afford the Mavic 3 Pro, Definitely get the Air 2. (The only difference between the 2 and the 2S, is the active tracking obstacle avoidance) The image quality is something you need! (And sadly, once you start using it, you almost feel like going back to those places and redo the shots.) Keep up the good work!

Such a great video. I just got an Air 3 and trying to learn as much as I can. I’m having trouble getting the videos onto my iPhone. I appreciate the thoroughness and detail of this video. Thank you so much.

I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Have you tried going through the DJI Fly app? If so, does it let you transfer directly to your iPhone? Unfortunately, I don't own an iOS device contest on, so I can't offer a legit solution.

@@WIHRC for two minutes extra runtime, you could have covered video too. After all, same principles and pretty much the same settings.

Great video for day time long exposure pictures. Have you tried doing long exposure at night? I can do them on my air 2s with a ND 16 filter and a 8 second shutter speed. I tried on my air 3 but it didn't seem to work the same. Shutter only goes to 2 seconds. Have you done any night ones. If you have what were your settings? I get them to work great on my air 2s. Any ideas?

Much appreciated. I tried LE photos at night once, but where i live, there aren't many great vantage points. I could be wrong, but I believe the reason you were ar to do it on the Air 2S easier is because of the fixed 2.8 apeture (maybe) vs the 1.7 fixed aperture on the Air 3. It could also be the version of the 1 inch sensor on the Air 2s vs. the newer smaller stacked sensor on the Air 3. Do you have an ND filter for your Air 3? If so, which one or ones? You should definitely be able to get those long exposure shots at night even with a 2 second exposure, but the stacked sensor on the Air 3 handles light better from what I understand. I suspect you might just need a variable ND filter to mess around with. Also, do you usually take those long exposure photos in the same exact place, and is their lots of Ambient light there?

@WIH_R_C so I have like a 8,16,32 and a cpl filter. One place I did some long exposure not alot of ambient light my air 2s does okay there. I haven't tried anywhere else as of yet. I tried doing what I do on my air 2s but it didn't work. I have alot of other places for sure with alot more ambient light. I live in Charleston sc. We have the ravenel bridge here which I did some with my air 2s they turned out not to bad I guess. I Def am not a photographer I can fly he hell out of a drone though! Lol! So do I need a different ND filter to make it work?

I definitely have alot of places that I can shoot with varying amounts of light just maybe need to figure out were to start with the air 3. Any advice would be appreciated.

Gotcha. One question I forgot to ask is what are you setting your ISO too? Normally in the daytime 100 is desirable since it will darken your picture and give it the best quality in terms of not having any grain grain. I am not a professional photographer either but I do understand the exposure triangle enough so in this case what I would try is getting something like an ND filter between 512 and 1,000 1,000. You could even try something like a 128 or 256. The filters I use come from free will but it doesn't look like they have the variable ND filters like they did for the mini 3 Pro pro. I think the biggest things beyond the two second shutter speed would be to look at your ISO setting and messing around with getting it as low as you can as well as getting a stronger filter to compensate for the wider aperture of the air 3. I wish I could remember which ending filter I used when trying to do a long exposure at night but unfortunately I can't recall right now. I found these on Amazon amzn.to/46npxJF I've never tried this brand for ND filters but I know that they're good for other stuff. Essentially these filters will make it so that you have about five ND filters in just one of these filters.

@WIH_R_C I was trying to set the ISO at 100 or 200 those are what I used on my air 2s you are right about the difference in the sensor size making a difference. I only really tried one time with the air 3 but I was just trying to get some info from someone who had done it with these drones. I will try the different ND filters and play around with it more. Thanks for the info I now have a direction to head in. Appreciate the help have a good one!
