The Lonesome Pine Specials. A television series that ran from 1986-1991 and was intended to document American music traditions and performers. Directed by Richard Van Kleeck and put out by TV stations WFPL and KET. Performances were filmed in the Bomhard Theater at the Kentucky Center for the Arts. All-star bluegrass band of David Grisman, Tony Rice, J. D. Crowe, Alison Krauss, and Mark Schatz aka Rounder Allstars / Rounder Records Allstars / Rounder Records 20th Anniversary band. Broadcast as Episode #210 of the Lonesome Pine Specials. Tony Rice - guitar, vocals David Grisman - mandolin Alison Krauss - fiddle, vocals J.D. Crowe - banjo Mark Schatz - bass Alison had just turned 18 years old a couple of weeks prior to this concert. 1. Blue Ridge Mountain Home 2. Cry Cry Darling 3. Bugle Call Rag (instrumental) 4. Bury Me Under The Weeping Willow 5. John Hardy 6. E.M.D. (check out Alison's fiddling!!!) 7. I Know What It Means To Be Lonesome 8. Sally Goodin 9. Freeborn Man
