From an Australian's vantage point, I've watched and listened with horror at the Harkles' attacks on the United Kingdom's monarchy and people. It was so undeserved given the warmth with which MM was embraced when she and Harry decided to marry. I've lived in Britain for a short period of time and I think that I have a grasp of the culture and people (and ancestral links to them). If the Harkles have called the USA home and that is their target market to make their money ...let them do just that and let's pull back on the focus being given to them. If the American people believe their 'truths'/utter tripe, then so be it. (I don't believe the majority of Americans are that stupid). I've never protested in the streets over anything, preferring to take a different approach, but if those two ever darken our doorstep again in Australia, I'd be out there with the rotten tomatoes to throw.

As the mother of 2 biracial sons I can say our entire family, both sides, wondered what they would look like. What their skin color would be, their hair and eye color and I think all parents do to some extent. So even if it was said, it doesn't mean it had racial undertones, but instead simple curiousity.

I’m from Texas and I’m white but I also have black relatives through marriage and subsequent births. So, initially, when Harry and Meghan were getting married, I was very keen to see how Britain would react. I did pay attention to different news sources and I felt it was spot on with embracing this couple. However, when Meghan starting disowning her own family, except for her black mother, that’s when I started to realize, uh oh Meghan might be somewhat unhinged. Over the years I feel it is grown into one of the best examples of narcissism. A true narcissist tries to destroys anyone, whether it be family or friends, when they refuse to feed the narcissist appetite for attention, love, money, etc. I know Harry is hurting and has grievances against his father BUT a true Royal does not publish a book about it. It is a weird society. We now capitulate and allow atrocious behaviour. Act as if everyone is 'entitled' to tell it like they see it, regardless of what absolute nonsense it is. Once upon a time behaviour like this would have been given short shrift and that would have been the end of it. What staggers me utterly, is the gall of Meghan. To be able to rock up when basically your actions harried an elderly woman to her death and act as if you're sad. I mean at least front it out and say 'I don't care she's dead'. At least that would have been honest. But this faux mourning? Heinous!

It just took awhile to realize that people have been using truth and interpretation interchangably out of ignorance (the rank and file), rather than intentionally (the people leading the rank and file). I'm not sure they actually know the difference, so it's not necessarily about facts or feelings. It may lean more on their inability to objectively observe the world. Also, truth can exist without facts.

Ignorance can be corrected. Wilful ignorance cannot. Certainly truth can exist without facts, but it cannot be known as truth without there being some facts/evidence to demonstrate it. It was true that Tyrannosaurus rex existed some 66 million years ago, but it was not known that it did until the first fossil of one was found in 1902 and named in 1905.it was true, but unknown. BTW, I’m sorry but your first line went straight over my head - I’m English.

@@markborder906 "Dead nuts on" basically = "spot on." :) When I was referring to there being truth without facts, I meant more along the line of something abstract, like biblical truths or other truths demonstrated in things like fables. Although in their case I believe them to be more generally than universally true.

The best way to close this down is not even have a discussion about them.

I wonder how quickly they will scamper back to California after the funeral. None of this can be comfortable for them. And King Charles seems to be showing a lot of grit in dealing with them. I think the message about loving them but that their life is elsewhere was quite clear. Of course all the Sugars, like that frightful lawyer, will put it down to racism, but fair and thinking people know it is actually consequences.

I agree with you, by not talking about them is the only way to make them irrelevant. Harry and his wife claimed before that they want to live a private life, it’s actually the opposite. I’m sure they both loving the drama, the more the press and people talked about them - truth or lies it will both benefit their pocketbooks. Truth nowadays is mostly lies. Lies becomes the truth.

As an American, we don't really pay attention to them. There's too much drama from our own celebrities to give them much thought. One thing that's interested me though is that for all their talk of wanting a normal life, they picked the worst state to be in. I live in Connecticut and we have a lot of actors and celebrities who move out here to live a quiet life. No big press or paparazzi, but no they moved to drama central and complain about it. Ridiculous lol.

Can you or I really attest to or understand what happened in this case? I don't know them, nor what they think or anything else about them. Have you verified anything about what has happened within the Royal Family? Can you? I know I can't. As for hurting, what I've learned is that HM the late Queen loved them and spoke with Harry very frequently; that HM King Charles says he, too, loves them and wishes them happy; that some of the grown cousins like being with them; that the Countess of Wessex can behave like a class act and may even wish to break the ice. William seems to be a bit chilly, but maybe he just doesn't know how to help defrost the relationship with Harry, and though in a recent short video from a few days ago showed Catherine Wales being rude to Meghan, ignoring her, walking in front of her and so on, if she truly is the class act you believe she is, maybe there's a chance of the former "fab four" becoming more comfortable and warmer toward each other. Things weren't totally smooth even before Harry and Meghan presented their proposal for the future, and I think that was owing to to W and C just as much as to H and M, and maybe more. But I don't know, so I won't speculate. I just would like for them to do something quite modern and not very traditional for them: talk until they find a way to close the distance between them and make concessions on both sides. What good is remaining in the emotional deep freeze?

It sounds more idiotic every time she repeats that "media" should stop to report despicable things Horrid and Methane say because make the malign couple seem, well, despicable.

Do you really think , at this point, most people believe ANYTHING Henry and Megnut says??

He and Meg decided to not to be part of the Royal family. So now he is out of the family.
