I bought the pizza stone but left it in the box. A fireboard drive may be in the future.

This is a very interesting looking grill. If I bought one I think I would want the rotisserie but I am having a hard time seeing how that should cost another $500! I could see $100. Maybe at the very most $200. But how does the rotisserie cost a fourth as much as the base grill?

It didn't click with me until watching you put the fire management or charcoal basket that they only work directly on the bricks but not on the movable tray. That helps me visualize better , thanks for that.

Yes and that moveable rack has 4 removable trays that can come out. You can put a water pan in there as well.

I've seen Chris's videos where he shows they are removable but I was imagining putting the management basket on the lifting shelf and then raising and lowering. Seeing you put in it there showed me that once it's in there you can't raise the shelf at all. Plus your camera angle shows the rod going across under the grill grates that holds the cables that spin up and raise/lower the shelf. That bar takes even move space away under the grates. Pretty much just fuel on the shelf and no baskets. but that's fine.

@tommyknockers_8608 Totally and I can tell you that only the fire management basket really fits. The generic square one just barely fits and you can't add anything to it. I doubt if I ever use that basket.

yeah it looks like you have to get it in place then fill it from the top with the grill grates removed.. maybe if you were doing a long cook but not being able to add to it partway through kinda sucks.. At least with the steel management basket you can add from the front door as needed. You're the first youtuber with a video of the el patron so we're waiting for you to share a cook on it. :) Happy Grilling/Smoking@@buzzindsm3380

I can't find the comment now, but someone was asking for the grate size. Not sure what they wanted to do but I just measured it and 30.5x24 would fit on top of the grates

Thanks for the video. I'm close to placing an order on one of these. I'm trying to decide on whether to upgrade to the 8" casters. I want to get swivel casters on all four corners to make it easier to park in a tight space. Chris advised against that, thinking that it might make it harder for one person to maneuver. I'm looking forward to seeing more videos on this cooker.

I would recommend the large casters, it rolls so easy on cement. With that said, I just pulled it to the back yard and it didn't go through the yard very well.

I have a nice level and smooth patio (although pretty small) I have no doubt that it would roll great with the larger wheels, I guess my concern is how high it would make the working surface. It doesn't look too high in the video. Not much info on these cookers out there yet.

@@jorafter I have another video coming out today, which should give you a better idea. I don't know your size but I'm 6'1 for reference. The lid is a little heavy but outside of that, I didn't really notice any height issues.

@@buzzindsm3380 I'm 6' 0", so we're pretty close. You look very comfortable at the grill, so I don't think working height will be a problem. Your videos and input have been very helpful, I do appreciate it. This will be a large investment, and I want to do my best at making all the right choices.

Congratulations! I took delivery of the adjustable grill/smoker a few weeks ago. I probably would have gotten this if I knew about it when I placed the order. What was your lead time? For me it took 5 months from deposit to delivery.

Just a couple of months. I was one of the first 10 to order one.

Enjoy waiting 6 months and being nicked and dimed for every single upgrade. I feel like LSG is just expensive shit. Canceled my order after waiting 6 months. Bought a Franklin Offset and have never regretted my decision. The Franklin was delivered in 2 weeks.

I waited 2 months, which is the timeframe they gave me when I ordered. The price was based on the selections I made. Enjoy your Franklin, I've heard great things. I haven't looked at prices recently, has Franklin dropped their prices or something? The last time I looked, they were $5k+?

the franklin offsets look very nice and no doubt he has them tuned to perfection. i ended up with a LSG offset because i wanted something bigger and i like the utility of cooking on the firebox, which i have done a fair amount of. mine took several months to get, but it was on time. most other offsets have a long build time right now as well.

I get the impression that LSG lures people in with good products at good prices, but then gouges people’s eyes out with the upgrades. There’s always one or two seemingly little things that would make it better, and then the price just goes out of control.
