As a London lover and as an English learner I can say that these types of videos are incredible. As a youtuber I know the work behind them. Really, thank you very much, Gideon, for making them. I not only enjoy them, I learn too. Thank you very much.

Thanks for your kind words. I'm glad you liked the video. Yes indeed it was a lot of work (research, filming, editing) but I enjoyed making it. Good luck with your channel.
I enjoy your channel immensely! Unlike other English teaching channels that give us only rules and grammar, your channel is authentic and unique as it provides us with cultural, historical information. Moreover you do it in such an interesting way that I forget I’m learning language and feel immersed into the culture, habits and reality of English people. Great and very cognitive channel! Thank you for your amazing work!

Well, Mr Gideon, as he does not get tired to stress, is a Londoner. Never mind his ethnic background. Julia Blokhina, in turn, most likely has Russian roots. Does that answer your question?
Hi! I am a complete Anglophile. I adore your lessons. Greetings from Warsaw. All the best!
Atmospheric, unique, unforgettable London. Thank you for the video!
Ah, this was so interesting... you could have easily done this lesson seated at home but walking around London makes for a much more immersive experience. Definitely appreciated. "Turn a blind eye" was the only expression I was familiar with... I use it here and there. Not having a hot date tonight, it's a Wednesday after all... gotta stay mellow for today. 😄

I'm from Puerto Rico and over the past 15 years I've become a bit of an anglophile. really like this video because you include points of interest around the city. This is an excellent video. I wish the videos about idioms and phrasal verbs were longer, with a short yet emotional story for each idiom or phrasal verb. Thanks a lot!
Very interesting, informative and amusing video. However I always was led to believe that the Full Monty was named after the 3 piece demob suit from the tailors Montague Burton. The term subsequently became used for anything that was complete e.g the full strip in the film of the same name. The breakfast is more commonly called the Full English.

Hello Gideon. This is an awesome video about London and the lesson about expressions is fascinating. My own example sentence; Nathaniel did not achieve high grades in the finals exam because he turned blind eye to his tutor's advice all these while. Thanks a lot for your lessons. 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

To ‘turn a blind eye’ is usually to deliberately ignore something bad, in spite of knowing that the consequences or outcome will be negative. A good example would be a dishonest security guard allowing one of his friends to steal items from a shop where he worked, by ignoring the theft and pretending not to have witnessed it occurring.
Your videos are great. I plan to go to London in the next couple of years. I took notes and will try to learn as much expressions as I can until then. Greetings from Quebec City.

This is a really great presentation. I love how you link the expressions to places, show us the places, and give the history of the expression. A very entertaining combo of elements.
