If you refer to a map after this announcement it’s not that confusing. If you want to go west, instead of getting off at Mile End and going that way on the Central line, get off at Bank/Monument (they are connected stations) and go west from there instead. I don’t know how else they could have announced it. They have maps on all the trains and stations so they assume some familiarity with the routes (otherwise every announcement would have to be like 80 minutes long)

What’s confusing about the announcement. It perfectly clear and logical to me. It’s a west bound District Line Train, they are arriving at Bromley, the next stop is Mile End and that usually has an interchange with the Central Line (which apparently is not available that day), and so if you need to change to the Central line, the next opportunity is Monument station.

"Please mind the gap between the train and the platform" hits hard

Me too, I heard this at Pimlico like: "Due to planned engineering work, There is no interchange for the Northern Line at Euston"
The announcement's great - it tells you useful stuff before you get off the train and what to do. You can read it too if you're deaf.

It all makes sence to me, honestly it is nicely explained and announced plus there os always someone to help you out in the station. It is much worse when several lines are closed
It just appears more confusing here but it repeats this message at every stop on the line (including before mile end) so it’s really quite helpful tbh
I'm 5000+ miles away from London right now but I can feel and taste this video through my screen. I logically know its the Lizzie line so it has aircon but oh my god imagining central line's humidity is sending me 😭😭😭

It isn’t Elizabeth line it’s district. Elizabeth line doesn’t look like that. Actually by the design it could be Hammersmith and city or metropolitan (I think) or circle too, but you can tell by the stations the train is stopping at

This feels like a fever dream to anyone who doesn't live in london
Its like they took a word from every possible sentence and threw it into one.

My son looooves TFL and he loves all the stations ❤
On my way to Edinburgh one autumn day in late 1990's, our train was pilled over to a siding and the world's most bored and indifferent young man's voice announced that, indeed, we could not proceed as there were "leaves on the line".
Loving the Tube ❤❤❤ can’t wait to come back to London
I was just on a subway when I was in NYC actually! Yes we call them "Subway's" instead of "Underground's" here.
As someone who lives in London, I pretty much hear this all the time I’m at the train station
We so need a train system like this where I live. Travel would be so much better.
As someone who went to Uni in London for 4 years, it was freaky like Friday listening to these underground announcements go from gibberish to beginning to create an entire mental image of the tube map in my brain. When the real freak show starts is when you already know the station they are going to say when they are mid announcing diversions.
Everytime I see anything uk related it makes me so glad I emigrated!!!!!
I cherish my two tube maps (one in each pocket) because this would make me shake like when that one londoner sent me to north greenwich with the underground instead of pointing me to the DLR (rip my legs after running to catch a bus when I realised the absurd distance)
I can see how this would be terrifying for non-London accustomed passengers.
as a Londoner, all i'm doing right now is closing my eyes and wishing I was on a long tube ride!
