Located in the West End of London, Covent Garden is renowned for its luxury fashion and beauty stores as well as award-winning restaurants and theatres.
The Piazza has been home to street entertainment since 1660, which the first performance was of a Punch and Judy show. Today street entertainment ranges from musicians, singers, magic tricks and silent art statues
The tour is a first person perspective from Covent Garden station into the heart of Covent Garden and into the indoor market area of Apple Market, with its indoor shops, stalls and restaurants. The place is extremely vibrant and on a summers day is a beautiful location to shop or to catch up with friends at one its wonderful locations.

I was a young Aussie girl on a working holiday to the UK 50 years ago and worked at one of the international hotels in the Strand. Our staff apartments backed onto the original Covent Garden markets. I saw and heard all the fully loaded trucks arrive into the markets at 4-5 am of a morning with their produce. The staff apartments have apparently been demolished and brand new buildings constructed in their place, residential flats I understand. The old markets have moved to Surrey I believe. From what I can see in this video, I recognise a lot of the original buildings. Hoping to revisit the UK next year, and Covent Garden will be one of the top places on my itinerary to visit.

That reminds me of a scene in the book "Coram Boy". Timothy Parfitt and Aaron Dangerfield went to the Covent Garden opera house every weekend to see the opera singer Nancy Dawson, who "sang so lustily it was like six of her rolled up into one". (From the book "Coram Boy" by Jamila Gavin. Coram Boy is one of my favorite books.)
