Thanks 🙏🏾, umm I think it depends on who you follow and general social groups. I find that people on Instagram tend to go out often and most people are just welcome to tag along. Little community of people really.

Thanks I appreciate that. The grip is from a company called smallrig they do grips and cages for loads of cameras. This one is pretty hard to get in the uk if that’s where your based. But check places like eBay, Amazon etc.

Ohk… small rig it is, but are you using the cage made specifically for a5100 or for some other model like a6000 6100?

@@tanishqgoyal7393 I’m using one for the A5100. I got mine from Amazon around a year ago. I think I saw that there was an L bracket as well. Similar just only goes over the grip and bottom.

Just goes to show - an 8 year old camera and lens combo, and photos to rival anything else on KZread - it's not the gear that matters it's the person!

I have this exact combination. Waa shooting a KZread video with it today. I like a5100s. If I get a lens I like, I buy an a5100 for it. Cheers

Did you change any custom key? Isn't it hard to shoot without wheels?

Hi, so yeah I did change the custom button being that there is only one. I have changed that to focus mode. To be honest I have never shoot with wheels yet, but I can see how much that would improve shooting in manual. With this you just have to use the back scroll wheel and press down to switch between shutter and apature.

@@PilipiHoops hey that’s not a problem. Na I won’t be using for the long term I’ll hope to upgrade at some point in 2022. This was my 1st camera so I never wanted to pay over the odds as well as making sure I used it. Been using about 2 years now and I feel I have reached my limits with it.

@@ojnsantana Personally I shoot in aperture priority when on the street and needing to be quick during daylight hours. Once it gets dark it’s best to go into manual to have more control over the lighting. For manual at night I try to keep iso below 2000 as I find it can get really noisy. Aperture low as possible up to about 5.6. And shutter 1/ what ever focal length to stop motion blur. Eg 50mm lens 1/50 or higher. Depending on what your shooting will depend on lens choice. Right now the 18-105 is mostly on my camera but it F4 if was lower that would be a win. But I’m shooting a lot of urban architecture so the wide really helps. It’s pretty versatile but I would probably recommend a 16-35mm for street.

@@ojnsantana the kit lens is ok since your just learning the camera. Go out take photos and find what you like shooting. Doing that will help you to decide on your next lens. People will say the 35mm or the 50mm. But remember the camera is cropped sensor so the 30mm is more like a 50mm and the 50mm is about 75mm. I have both and hardly use them at the moment.

I often shoot under expo with this camera a pull back when editing. It’s mainly so I don’t blow out the sky. Sometimes my edits can look a little under due to my monitor as well. 😢
